63-year-old Susan Marie Korean was reported as a suspicious person at the Nashville International Airport at 6:56 p.m. on June 22nd. Korean approached a South West Airlines employee’s kiosk and asked her to be rebooked. Korean asked the employee what would happen to her bag, and she told her it would continue to Las Vegas as it was previously scheduled. Korean stated, “Well, if I am not going, shouldn’t my bags be pulled?” The customer service supervisor told her no and that, per policy, her bag would meet her at her destination since the flight was fully loaded. After this, Korean asked, “Is that not a security thing? What if I was a terrorist or had explosives in my bag?” The gate agent warned her that saying things like that would get her bag pulled, and she replied, “It was a joke.” Airport police had Korean paged to gate D1 so they could speak with her about her comment. When she arrived, Korean told them she was originally heading to Las Vegas but wanted to be rebooked and know that her bag would go with her. This call delayed the aircraft from departing for 42 minutes and 15 connecting passengers from reaching their stop. Airport Police K9 handlers responded to screen Korean’s luggage but could not find it after searching the aircraft. Susan Korean was then taken into custody for a filing a false report.
