26-year-old Nicholas Maldonado was taken into custody for resisting arrest, assault of an officer, and obstructing a passageway on June 8th. Maldonado attempted to walk into the road near the 3rd Avenue South and Broadway intersection after being told by multiple officers not to. As officers tried to stop him, he swung his bag and struck Officer Steven Begley in the head. While being detained, he became resistive until he was taken to the ground and arrested.
Nicholas J. Maldonado of Lafayette Street in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 8th, charged with resisting arrest and assault of an officer. He is free on a $3,600 bond.
