26-year-old Madalin Stoican and his wife stole from the Walmart on Nolensville Pike at 3:15 p.m. on June 10th. A Walmart employee, Oscar Moreno, alerted the authorities, advising them that he had observed a married couple, one of which was Stoican, who had previously shoplifted from the establishment. While loss prevention employees attempted to detain the couple, Stoican’s wife pushed her stroller towards an employee and threw a cup of popcorn chicken at another before fleeing on foot. Shortly after, they were able to detain Stoican. Officers reviewed footage showing the couple “skip-scanning” items at self-checkout and concealing $33.33 worth of property in their stroller. Stoican was then cited for the incident and was later booked on the citation of theft on June 25th.
