40-year-old Ellis Wayne was observed lying in the roadway near the I-40 West and 2nd Avenue South late July 10th. When officers and medics arrived, Wayne refused medical assistance. Then, while speaking with him, officers noticed he reeked of alcohol and showed signs of intoxication. Wayne was deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.
Ellis Wayne was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 12th, charged with public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $100.
