19-year-old Keyanthony Stewart failed to stop at a stop sign at the 11th Avenue South and Edgehill Avenue intersection on July 13th. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop on Korean Veterans Boulevard, near 6th Avenue South. Officers approached the passenger side and noticed a strong marijuana odor from the vehicle. Officers asked him to exit his red 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230 and, upon exiting, immediately detained him. Officers then searched Stewart and his vehicle, during which they discovered a total of 171 grams of marijuana inside a gray backpack, a digital scale, multiple plastic baggies, and a total of $257. Then, officers discovered that he had no valid driver’s license. Stewart was taken into custody for not having a valid driver’s license, the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and possession with intent on July 14th.
Keyanthony E. Stewart of Lenore Street in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 14th, charged with unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license, and possession with intent. He is free on a $3,200 bond.
