55-year-old Richard David Marbut was found lying on the ground near a Hillsboro Pike apartment late July 29th. Officers initially received a call regarding an active burglary. However, when police arrived, they located Marbut abnormally sweating, reeking of alcohol, and showing signs of impairment. A neighbor gave officers a description of a male, later identified as Marbut, yelling and banging on an apartment.
When the police asked Marbut why he was banging on the unit, he told them that his ex-girlfriend lived there. Then, officers tried to reach his alleged ex-girlfriend, but after knocking on the door and calling her on her cell phone, they could not contact her. Marbut made a scene in the courtyard of the complex, where he was lying on the ground, screaming, causing multiple neighbors to alert the authorities. Marbut was then taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Richard David Marbut of Lake Oglethorpe Drive in Arnoldsville, GA, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 29th, charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $250, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
