Tina Finney flees police officers after being suspected of helping person escape arrest

78-year-old Tina Finney was suspected of aiding an individual with a warrant to escape arrest on August 1st. Officers located Finney driving and conducted an investigational stop. After police activated their lights, Finney disregarded them and continued driving down Old Hickory Boulevard. Finney continued to ignore officers until she turned onto Plantation Drive.

Then, she turned on her 4-way flashers but kept driving until she reached her Bonnafield Drive residence. Officers then approached the vehicle and asked Finney to exit, which she did. However, when officers grabbed her wrist to detain her, she tensed up. After a brief struggle, officers arrested her. Finney was taken into custody for evading arrest by motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

Tina Finney of Bonnafield Drive in Hermitage, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 1st, charged with evading arrest and resisting arrest. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $6,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave her pre-trial release from their facility.
