DUI: Joseph Albert Benefield scores .150% BAC after causing multi-car accident

63-year-old Joseph Benefield was involved in a several-vehicle car accident on Lake Terrace Drive on August 2nd. After arriving, officers questioned Benefield about his sobriety due to the caller telling them that Benefield was possibly intoxicated.

Once Benefield confessed to having a few drinks, he was prompted with sobriety tests. Benefield showed several signs of impairment, so he was taken into custody. After blowing a .150% BAC on a breathalyzer, Benefield was transported to booking and charged with driving under the influence.

Joseph Albert Benefield of Anderson Road in Antioch, TN, was booked into Metro Nashville Jail on August 2nd, charged with DUI. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
