DUI: Brandy Snowden crashes car on Church Street after drinking Voodoo Ranger IPA

43-year-old Brandy Snowden was caught driving under the influence after a vehicle wreck at the intersection of church street and 1st Avenue North on August 8th. A report came in about a car accident, and the caller mentioned that Snowden seemed drunk. When the officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with Snowden. Officers immediately noticed the smell of alcohol on her breath. Officers also observed her slurred speech, dilated pupils, and unsteadiness on her feet. Upon request, Snowden agreed to perform sobriety tests but performed poorly on them. As a result, Snowden was detained, and officers searched her vehicle.

During the search, officers found a loaded handgun in her purse within reach, as well as a cup in her cupholder that smelled of alcohol. Additionally, officers found a half-full Voodoo Ranger IPA in her vehicle’s backseat. Snowden chose not to communicate with the officers and refused a blood test. Snowden was taken into custody for carrying a weapon while under the influence, driving under the influence, implied consent violation, and possession of an open container of alcohol on August 9th.

Brandy Snowden of Old Lebanon Pike in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 8th, charged with carrying a weapon while under influence, DUI, implied consent and open container. She is free on a $3,000 bond.
