27-year-old Kionte Tivon Gray had an altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Margaret Bush, at her Dickerson Pike apartment around 10:30 p.m. on May 18th. On May 19th, Bush alerted the authorities, advising them of the occurrence, stating Gray arrived at her apartment complex after she returned from going out with friends. She said he pulled up next to her as she parked, and they had a casual conversation until he observed her phone had text messages to another guy. Gray then snatched her phone from her hand aggressively, slapped her in the face, and pushed her to the ground. This caused her to hit the asphalt, which left injuries to her right knee and elbow. Afterward, Bush said she tried deescalating the incident and invited him into her apartment, where he had stayed until she called the police to serve him an order of protection she had previously obtained. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Gray was taken into custody for domestic assault on May 20th.
Kionte Tivon Gray of Dickerson Pike in Madison, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 20th, charged with domestic assault. He is free on a $2,000 bond.
