21-year-old Rodrick Love was taken into custody for public intoxication on May 25th. On May 24th, around 11:45 p.m., a Skull’s Rainbow Room manager flagged officers down regarding a young male, later identified as Love, who appeared “extremely disoriented.” Love was seen wearing only one shoe and talking into his wallet, asking for “Siri.” Officers located Love outside a 6th Avenue North establishment and spoke with him. As they spoke, Love told officers he was visiting from Chicago with some friends, but he had lost them and his phone. During their interaction, Love did not know where his hotel was, and when officers asked him where he was, he replied, “I know it’s not Memphis.” Love continued talking to his wallet, stumbling around and repeating nonsensical phrases. Love was deemed unable to care for himself and was detained for the occurrence.
