23-year-old Tobias Santner was taken into custody for public intoxication on May 25th. Around 4 a.m., officers were called regarding two “highly intoxicated” males, one of which was later identified as Santner, who was stumbling around the valet area on the ground level of Nashville International Airport. Upon arrival, officers were advised that one of the males walked toward the Hilton Hotel, and the other got onto an elevator. When the elevator opened, officers found Santner leaning against the wall, appearing to be sleeping. Officers shouted at him multiple times, but he did not acknowledge them. Officers grabbed his arm to keep him from falling and escorted him off the elevator. Santner had vomited on his clothing, had urinated on himself, and was missing a shoe. He also could not answer any questions regarding how and when he arrived at the airport or where he was trying to go. Santner provided officers with his Austrian passport and was deemed a danger to himself before being detained for the occurrence.
