Keenan Scalf headbutts woman during argument

23-year-old Keenan Scalf was involved in a domestic incident with Brooklyn Jackson at their Harper Road residence on May 25th. When officers spoke with Jackson, she stated that she had a verbal argument with Scalf that turned physical. Jackson claims that the argument became physical when Scalf headbutted her, causing an abrasion on her lip. When officers arrived, they spoke with Scalf, who admitted that he did headbutt Jackson. Officers deemed Scalf to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: Realtor Latoria Marshall caught with 12 grams of marijuana

37-year-old Realtor Latoria Marshall was caught driving under the influence near Old Matthews Road on May 25th. Officers got behind her vehicle and observed her cross numerous lines, as well as being fully in the oncoming lane for 2-3 seconds. Proceeding this, officers initiated a traffic stop where they observed Marshall as the vehicle’s only occupant. Authorities noticed a Corona Extra beer can in the center console while speaking with Marshall. Officers then asked Marshall numerous times if she had consumed any alcohol, but initially, she would not provide an answer. When officers asked again, Marshall admitted that she had consumed one beer. Officers then asked if she would exit the vehicle to perform sobriety tests as they detected the smell of alcohol on her breath. Marshall agreed to perform the test but showed numerous indicators of intoxication. Marshall was detained for DUI, and as officers searched her vehicle, they found a bag of a green substance believed to be marijuana weighing 12.3 grams. Marshall was taken into custody for DUI and an open container of alcohol on May 26th.

Katherine Powell pulls pants down & leaves steaming special delivery outside of MAPCO

58-year-old Katherine Powell was taken into custody for indecent exposure and vandalism on May 25th. On May 24th, Shawn Dillard, the Dickerson Pike MAPCO Gas Station manager, alerted the authorities, advising them that Powell pulled her pants down and used the bathroom right next to the entrance/exit door of the establishment. He added that she came in and asked to use the bathroom, but someone was inside already. Then, Dillard stated she went outside, stood next to the ice cooler, and defecated on the sidewalk. Dillard then immediately called the police. Officers observed the security footage of the incident, which clearly showed her walking into the business, exiting, turning left, walking a few steps, pulling her pants down, and defecating on the sidewalk for 30 to 60 minutes. Powell created a “bio-hazard condition” that required MAPCO employees to clean the fecal matter off the sidewalk. Powell was taken into custody for the incident on May 25th.

Keith Caldwell Jr. attacks baby-momma after scrolling through her Facebook messages

28-year-old Keith Bernard Caldwell Jr. had an altercation with the mother of his child, Ciauna Washington, on the afternoon of May 7th. Washington called officers to a Safe Harbor Drive residence, advising them that Caldwell Jr. wanted to play a game on her phone, so he grabbed her phone. Caldwell Jr. then scrolled through her Facebook messages before throwing her phone onto the ground. Then, he confronted Washington, punched her in the face repeatedly, and wrapped his arm around her neck. Caldwell Jr proceeded to strangle her, hindering her breathing until he released her. Washington said when she exited the apartment, Caldwell Jr. grabbed her and threw her into a wooden fence. Officers noticed she had visible injuries from the incident, so they called an ambulance to check on her well-being. Then, medics transported her to Skyline Hospital. A warrant was issued for Caldwell Jr.’s arrest.

On May 27th, patrolling officers observed a black Lincoln sedan traveling on Donelson Pike with a tinted windshield and darker-than-legal tinted windows. When officers got closer to the Lincoln, they noticed a dark-tinted license cover obstructing the view of the license plate. Officers initiated a traffic stop near the I-40 East entrance ramp. While approaching, officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana and spoke with the driver, Caldwell Jr. Officers later discovered Caldwell Jr. had a suspended driver’s license and an active warrant. He consented to a search of his vehicle, during which officers located 31 grams of marijuana next to an empty vacuum-sealed bag, 13 grams of methamphetamine and fentanyl divided into three smaller amounts, as well as a digital scale under the driver’s seat. Caldwell Jr. was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance with intent, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of Fentanyl, felony possession of marijuana, and aggravated assault.

DUI: Egil Miranda-Perez speeds down Old Hickory Boulevard in Toyota Tacoma

25-year-old Egil Miranda-Perez was observed speeding in his Toyota Tacoma near Old Hickory Boulevard and Dickerson Pike around 11:30 p.m. on May 29th. Deputies also noticed his right brake light was not working as he swerved between lanes. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Cobblestone Creek. Miranda-Perez was initially argumentative during their interaction and admitted to having two drinks before driving. Officers prompted him with sobriety tests, which he consented to and performed poorly. After being informed of implied consent, he agreed to provide them with two breath samples, resulting in 0.088% BAC and 0.091% BAC. Miranda-Perez was taken into custody for driving under the influence on May 30th.

Bobby Jo Alley found slumped over her steering wheel after taking fentanyl

53-year-old Bobby Jo Alley was observed slumped over her steering wheel near the East Thompson Lane Kroger late May 25th. Upon arrival, medics advised officers that she was in the driver’s seat with the keys in the ignition. Alley admitted to talking and having fentanyl on her person. Officers then found 2.5 grams of fentanyl on Alley after searching her. Alley was rocking back and forth, nodding off in the patrol car and speaking incoherently. After she refused medical treatment, the medics left. Alley was then taken into custody for felony possession of Fentanyl and public intoxication.

DUI: Kennedy Patterson says “I slept it off already” after police find cornucopia of liquor in car

25-year-old Kennedy Augusta Patterson was found unresponsive after being involved in a car accident near a Mystic Hill Drive residence around 8:31 a.m. on May 25th. Christian Moffett, a firefighter, spoke with responding officers, telling them that Patterson was woken up after a “sternum rub” and that he removed the key from the ignition. Moffett then made sure it was in park and put the key on top of the car. When officers spoke with Patterson, he was sitting in the driver’s seat, so they asked him to exit the vehicle. While questioning Patterson, officers noticed he reeked of alcohol as he told them he did not crash into the trailer in the driveway. Patterson added that he was unsure how he ended up there.

After running Patterson’s information through NCIC, officers discovered his license was suspended. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and, after being informed of implied consent, refused to provide a chemical sample. During a subsequent search, officers located a Glock 26 9mm with a round in the chamber under the driver’s seat, two empty bottles of E&J Brandy, one empty bottle of Bacardi Vodka, and an empty bottle of Don Julio Tequila on the passenger floorboard. While sitting in intake, Patterson stated, “I am not even intoxicated anymore. I slept it off already.” Patterson was taken into custody for driving under the influence, possession of a weapon while under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and an implied consent violation.

Cat Litter Bandit Nicholas Perdue steals several cat related items from Target

26-year-old Nicholas Perdue was observed with an unknown individual trying to steal merchandise from the Old Hickory Boulevard Target around 1:04 p.m. on May 10th. They entered the establishment and selected several items, including cat litter and pet treats, which they failed to scan at the self-checkout. Then, when they tried to exit the store, Wesley Barrett, a loss prevention agent, stopped them. Barrett added that Perdue had been stealing from the location since 2022. On May 21st, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Perdue was taken into custody for theft on May 29th.

Tristin McEwen threatens Uber driver with gun for not moving despite being in traffic

23-year-old Tristin McEwen threatened Jessica Williams, an Uber driver, at gunpoint near the Shelby Avenue A Plus gas station around 6:02 p.m. on May 3rd. Williams told officers she was stuck in traffic on the I-24 East ramp when McEwen, who was on the right side of her in a white Mazda 6, started honking his horn and screaming at her. Williams stated that McEwen then began threatening her with a black handgun. Williams said she was in fear for her safety, took a photo of him holding his firearm, and called the police. On May 9th, she positively identified McEwen via photo lineup. A warrant was issued for McEwen’s arrest that day. McEwen was taken into custody for aggravated assault on May 29th.

Heidi Buffaloe constantly texts ex-boyfriend, destroys his phone after 4 year relationship ends

39-year-old Heidi Fontane Buffaloe had a domestic incident with her ex-boyfriend, Salvatore Cusumano, at his Old Hickory Boulevard apartment on May 25th. Cusumano told responding officers he had broken up with Buffaloe following a 4-year relationship. He asked her to vacate his unit around 11 a.m., and his brother came over to lock it after she left. Then, when Cusumano returned to his residence, he discovered she had damaged his $1,500 business phone. After the breakup, Buffaloe was asked to stop contacting him and his fraternity brother. However, Buffaloe disregarded this and continued texting Cusumano from multiple cell phone numbers, one of which stated, “That is why Q is going to get you. He is coming to pick up the $1,000 up to do the job.” The next text she sent said, “Whoop your ass,” placing him in fear for his safety. He added that in another message, she told him, “By the way, tell your ugly ass old friend to stop texting that because I am going to bother you guys for the rest of my life.” A warrant was issued for her arrest. Then, Buffaloe was taken into custody for harassment and vandalism on May 29th.
