Walter Eaton steals iPad out of golf cart at parking garage on 5th Avenue

40-year-old Walter Eaton stole an iPad at a parking garage near 5th Avenue North on June 1st. When officers arrived on the scene, they immediately noticed that Eaton had been sprayed with chemical spray as well as been shot by a taser by Michael Siriyutwatana, a security. Officers were informed by staff that there was a video of the incident, which showed Eaton with two other individuals peeing on the wall of the parking garage. After walking away from the wall, Eaton had walked by a golf cart that Michael Shelton, another security guard at the parking garage, drove. Shelton briefly stepped away from the golf cart, and Eaton then proceeded to take the iPad from the cart, securing it inside a white SUV parked in the parking garage.

Deirtrice Young, another security guard at the parking garage, had witnessed the theft on security cameras and went to speak with Eaton. Security footage then shows Eaton aggressively walking toward Young, and her pushing him away to create space. The footage shows Siriyutwatana arrive on the scene attempting to detain Eaton, but he was not complying. Siriyutwatana then proceeded to spray Eaton with a chemical spray until he was down enough to be handcuffed. The video then shows Eaton springing up from the ground and attempt to walk away from them. Siriyutwatana then placed himself in front of Eaton to prevent him from leaving. Eaton then proceeded to charge at Siriyutwatana aggressively before Siriyutwatana pulled out a Taser and used it on Eaton, causing him to fall to the ground. Eaten was then taken into custody by officers and was charged with two counts of assault and one count of theft.

Jeffrey Mansir beats girlfriend with Yankee candle, strangles dog during argument

42-year-old Jeffrey Mansir was seen assaulting his girlfriend, Erin Ulvund, at an Ewing Drive residence on June 1st. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with a neighbor who claimed they saw a naked woman yelling for help from the residence. Officers then went and spoke with Ulvund, who told officers that she and Mansir had gotten into a verbal altercation that turned physical. Ulvund told officers that following the argument, she went upstairs to separate but returned to apologize. Ulvund had held Mansir onto the couch to apologize, and he pushed her off of him, causing Ulvund to hit her head against the coffee table while falling. Ulvund then continued arguing with Mansir, accusing him of cheating before taking his phone upstairs into the bathroom. Mansir then entered the bathroom, pushing Ulvund against the wall by her neck, asking if she was recording him. Ulvund told officers that Mansir then demanded the video as well as the username and password for her Apple ID account. Ulvund told Mansir that she did not record him, but he did not believe her. Mansir then pulled Ulvund onto the bed and held her down before he started striking her in the face with a Yankee Candle. This caused severe bruising and swelling to her face.

Ulvund informed officers that Mansir told her, “I don’t want to go back to jail. I have to murder you,” before he grabbed a drill bit and put it to her neck. Mansir also held the drill bit to their dog’s neck as well as choking it, telling Ulvund that he would kill the dog. Ulvund told officers that her phone was shattered during the altercation. Ulvund ran outside and screamed for help in the front yard, getting her neighbor’s attention. Mansir then went outside and dragged Ulvund back into the house before she ran out to the residence’s backyard to yell for help again. Ulvund made it to her car and then fled the scene. Mansir was not on the scene when officers arrived, and while speaking with Ulvund, they were alerted of Mansir’s vehicle. Officers initiated a traffic stop on Mansir’s vehicle near an intersection of Ewing Drive and Brick Church. Officers spoke with Mansir, who stated that he and Ulvund argued earlier, but Ulvund was drunk while high on cocaine. Mansir told officers that she tried to apologize, but he pushed her, which caused her to hit her head. Mansir then claims he tried to make amends with Ulvund, but she left the scene. Mansir claims that he left the scene to avoid any more conflict but wanted to return so he could check on his dog. Officers also observed a significant amount of blood on the bed and bathroom of the residence. Due to the injuries and statements, Mansir was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for aggravated assault, animal cruelty, vandalism, and aggravated kidnapping.

Jordan Coile keys woman’s Volkswagen Jetta, causes $2,646 worth of damage

36-year-old Jordan Coile keyed Mariah Davis’ Volkswagen Jetta at her residence around 7:25 p.m. on January 10th. Davis said Coile got into a black Chevrolet Equinox and left the scene after keying her car. When Davis took her Jetta for an estimate at Daniel’s Paint and Body, she was quoted $2,646.18 to repair the damage. Then, Davis went to the South Precinct and identified Coile in a photo lineup. A warrant was issued for Coile’s arrest on January 22nd. Coile was later taken into custody for felony vandalism on June 2nd.

Jerrie Coleman yells at police after causing scene at Embassy Suites

36-year-old Jerrie Coleman was seen publicly intoxicated near Embassy Suites on Demonbreun Street on June 1st. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Coleman’s girlfriend, who stated that Coleman was involved in another incident and was upset that officers were conducting an investigation. The staff of Embassy Suites wanted Coleman and his group to leave the property, but while in the parking lot, Coleman began yelling and cursing at officers and his family, who attempted to calm him down. Officers warned Coleman to calm down numerous times, but he refused and continued yelling. Coleman also approached officers while yelling, having to be pulled back by his friends and family. He showed numerous indicators of intoxication, as well as the smell of alcohol emitting from his body. Coleman was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Public Intoxication: Nicholas Longmire jailed after girlfriend calls police

24-year-old Nicholas Longmire was taken into custody for public intoxication on June 2nd. At around 2 a.m., Longmire’s girlfriend alerted the authorities, advising them that he was heavily intoxicated and had separated from his friends. Initially, officers could not locate him, so they called the girlfriend, who provided them with his whereabouts, telling them he was inside the Ascend Amphitheater, where they observed him walking on the sidewalk and approached him. During their interaction, Longmire showed multiple signs of inebriation, reeked of alcohol, and could not tell them where he was going for the night. They deemed him too intoxicated to care for himself and detained him for the incident.

Kevin Stephenson found drunk & stumbling around Church Street

59-year-old Kevin Arthur Stephenson was observed stumbling near Church Street and 1st Avenue South on the evening of June 1st. Two Samaritans flagged officers down, advising them of Stephenson stumbling around. Officers located Stephenson, who walked a few steps and nearly fell over. When officers approached Stephenson, he had a strong alcoholic odor and told them he was okay. Stephenson added that he was looking for his hotel. Initially, he stated he was staying at the Drury Hotel, which was in the opposite direction of the way he was walking. Then, Stephenson added that he was not staying at the Drury Hotel and could not give his actual hotel’s name. Stephenson also had no phone or friends to pick him up. Stephenson was deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Tourist Jason Hadley resists arrest after trying to force his way into Margaritaville

36-year-old Tourist Jason Hadley was one of 4-5 “drunk people” trying to force their way into Margaritaville around 10:17 p.m. on May 31st. Dispatch advised officers that they could hear a male “cussing out” the caller in the background while security tried preventing them from entering. When they arrived, they were advised that the group was denied entry due to their intoxication. Then, officers noticed Hadley, who reeked of alcohol, was refusing to move while standing in front of the entrance, causing a hazard to patrons. Officers gave Hadley a chance to leave, but he refused. This prompted Hadley’s friends to try pulling him away from the entrance, but he remained uncooperative. Then, while trying to get away from his friend’s grasp, Hadley turned around and started shouting profanities at officers. So, officers went to detain him, during which Hadley resisted, forcing them to use a takedown method to arrest him. Hadley was taken into custody for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication on June 1st.

Katherine Sidwell gets wasted at Geodis Park while in the company of her 10-year-old son

40-year-old Katherine Sidwell had an altercation with Apex Security at a Geodis Park soccer game on June 1st. Upon arrival, officers located her with security and discovered she had fallen near her seat and hit her head. Officers tried to help her, but she became combative. She was visibly inebriated and believed she was in Sevierville, Tennessee. Sidwell started resisting arrest and would not walk on her own. She was transported to Nashville General Hospital and deemed unable to take care of herself. Her 10-year-old son was with her at the event. Sidwell was taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Angie Wells steals $1,458 worth of products at Ulta Beauty

41-year-old Angela Marie Wells, aka Angie Wells, was taken into custody for theft on June 1st. Around 5:30 p.m., VUPD noticed a vehicle matching the description of a previous shoplifter’s car in the parking lot of Ulta Beauty. The vehicle belonged to Angie, who, on March 30th and May 8th, was caught on camera leaving the property without paying for $1,458 worth of merchandise. The store manager, Elyssa Order, provided officers with the footage of the incidents. Officers issued her a trespassing warning. Wells was later detained for the occurrence.

Hayden Mikesell stumbles out of Ole Red and lies down in the middle of Broadway

21-year-old Hayden Price Mikesell was observed stumbling outside of Ole Red on Broadway in the early hours of June 1st. At some point, he fell in the middle of the roadway, lying on his back, so officers approached him and noticed he was visibly impaired. They asked him where he was staying and if they could assist him with getting an Uber or taxi. However, Mikesell did not know where he was going for the night and had no friends to call to meet him. Mikesell was deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.
