24-year-old William Collins had a domestic incident with one of his roommates, Ja’Juan Bryston, at their Summit East Nashville apartment late June 9th. When officers arrived, they spoke with their other roommate, Nychelle Evans, a witness, who stated that she asked Collins to move out since he was not paying rent, during which he became irate and started yelling at her. Bryston stood up and told Collins to stop, but he pushed him and continued to approach Evans, so Bryston shoved him back to prevent him from attacking Evans, which is when Collins started hitting him. Evans recorded the occurrence and gave it to officers, who reviewed it and deemed Collins the primary aggressor. Collins was taken into custody for domestic assault.
