William A. Southern arrested for threatening brother with knife during city-wide warrant round-up

46-year-old William Antonio Southern was arrested as part of a city-wide warrant round-up. Southern had a domestic altercation with his uncle, William Carl Southern, at his mother’s, Vickie Southern’s, house around 8:30 p.m. on February 27th. Vickie alerted the authorities, advising them that William Antonio and her grandson, Joe Shawn Thompson, had a verbal disagreement. When officers arrived, she further explained that William Antonio was being disorderly. Vickie explained that Thompson told her that William Antonio had put a knife against William Carl’s neck. Officers then spoke with William Carl, who stated while he and William Antonio were playing basketball, William Antonio pulled out a knife and held it to his neck. William Carl did not sustain any injuries in the incident. Since he left, officers obtained a warrant for William Antonio’s arrest.

Then, on March 25th, William Carl Southern called the police, telling them that he came outside while he was at another location and found William Antonio Southern sitting in his backseat. William Carl told William Antonio to leave, but he refused, so William Carl drove to Vickie Southern’s house. When they got there, William Carl went inside to get Vickie, during which William Antonio grabbed a brick and threw it multiple times at his vehicle. This caused the windshield to crack, leaving dents and scratches on the driver’s side door. Then, William Antonio punched William Carl in the face and ran into the woods behind the residence. A warrant was issued for William Antonio’s arrest. William Antonio Southern was taken into custody for aggravated assault, domestic assault, and vandalism on June 12th as part of a city-wide warrant round-up.

Tristan Williams threatens child’s mother with gun

20-year-old Tristan Eli Williams had an altercation with the mother of his child, Latroya Crutcher, at East Park on the afternoon of April 15th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Crutcher, who advised them that Williams attempted to lure her close to him during an argument, where he pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at her, causing her to fear for her safety, so she maced him several times while running away. She stated he handed the gun to his sister, who tried to get her to come closer also. Crutcher Requested to press charges for the incident, and they obtained a warrant for his arrest. Williams was taken into custody for domestic assault on June 12th as part of a city-wide warrant round-up.

Robert Hill totals a car by beating it with a brick & mop handle

46-year-old Robert Hill was involved in an altercation with Thomas Reid at Charles E Davis Blvd on March 27th. Officers arrived and spoke with Reid, who stated that when he and Hill got into an argument, Hill chased him around his car and into the street. Law enforcement was provided surveillance footage of the incident. With that, they observed Hill smashing Reid’s windows and damaging the vehicle with a brick and a mop handle. Hill was also seen entering Reid’s car through the window, grabbing the keys, and throwing them into the street. After doing so, Hill was seen pulling out a box that contained a crock pot and throwing it to the ground. Reid later informed law enforcement that the damage to his vehicle was deemed totaled by his insurance company. Reid’s car was valued at $27,099.05. After being identified by Reid in a photo lineup, Robert Hill was taken into custody and charged with vehicular burglary and vandalism.

Christopher Eddie arrested for string of car thefts during city-wide warrant round-up

19-year-old Christopher Eddie was arrested as part of a city-wide warrant round-up. Eddie and around six other unidentified teenagers were found to be the car theft group responsible for stealing multiple vehicles from December 22nd, 2023, to June 6th, 2024. Layla Vicari reported her red Hyundai Sonata stolen on December 22nd, 2023. Eddie arrived in the parking garage and drove her Sonata on December 25th, 2023, which was caught on camera. On December 26th, 2023, Eddie drove Vicari’s Sonata into a Lenore Street Parking garage. He assisted one of his minor co-defendants, who exited and used a screwdriver on Brittany Brown’s grey Hyundai Elantra. Then, they left, and Eddie acted as a lookout while they stole a silver Kia that Clifford Jones was renting from the Dew Street parking garage. On December 27th, 2023, they were caught stealing Reonte Beal’s silver 2015 Kia Optima on camera before abandoning it on Kate Street on December 28th, 2023. On December 31st, they stole Bruno Adams’s grey 2018 Kia Sorrento and Brittany Brown’s 2020 Elantra from the Lenore Street Parking garage. On January 2nd, they were caught driving a blue 2020 Kia Forte reported stolen by Makia Miller. On January 9th, Eddie arrived in Luke Widseth’s black Hyundai Elantra and tried to steal Yvette Wright’s Hyundai Elantra before fleeing. On June 6th, Reginald Small reported his 2023 Toyota 4Runner stolen and tracked it down to a Hillside Avenue address. Officers located Eddie and an unidentified individual walking on the sidewalk away from the building. Officers asked them to identify themselves and to stop walking. They both ran, but officers caught Eddie after a brief foot chase. Eddie was taken into custody for seven counts of vehicle theft, attempted vehicle theft, evading arrest, joyriding, two counts of vandalism, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor on June 7th.

Halima Bilal bites niece for disrespecting her

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, 19-year-old Halima Bilal abused her 14-year-old niece at their Parkway Drive residence on June 14th. Law enforcement received a report from dispatch that the victim called in, stating that her aunt was attacking her and that her family was trying to stop her. When officers arrived, they separated the victim and Bilal. While splitting them up, officers noticed that Bilal had a bite mark on her right shoulder. Bilal stated that she and her niece were arguing because she was disrespectful towards her. Bilal informed officers that she put her hands on her niece’s face and pushed her during the argument, which led to a fight between them. Bilal stated that family members held her back while her niece was still hitting her, so once she broke free, she bit her niece in the back since she bit first. Bilal claimed she was trying to discipline her niece due to her lack of respect. Halima Bilal was taken into custody and charged with child abuse.

James Temple steals $2000 worth of merchandise from the Stahlman Building

59-year-old James Edward Temple stole several tools from the Stahlman Building between April 1st and May 9th. Temple was observed on camera taking Dewalt cordless drills and batteries, Inficon Refrigerant tools, cleaning supplies, and a pressure washer. He was working at the building for Valet Living, a third-party trash pick-up company, where he was later terminated. When management confronted him about the tools, he returned a Pressure washer, but not the same one he had stolen. The maintenance supervisor believed the tools’ value was about $2,000. A warrant was issued for his arrest on June 12th, and Temple was taken into custody for theft on June 13th.

James Pridemore threatens woman with knife after she kicks him out of her shed

31-year-old James Tyler Pridemore was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on June 14th. On April 29th, officers were advised by Deborah Bistodeau, a witness, that Pridemore raised his right arm, holding a knife in a threatening manner while yelling, “You bitch! You bitch!” to her daughter, Deana Rae Bistodeau. Then, Deana explained that after Pridemore had been released from jail on April 27th, she allowed him to sleep in her shed. On April 28th, Deana gave Pridemore a ride to get his car out of impound, and when he returned, she told him he could not stay anymore because of his Fentanyl use. Pridemore put his belongings into two backpacks, put them in his vehicle, and left the residence. Then, Deana said, on April 29th, he returned to her house and became upset that she was moving her cabinets into the shed. Pridemore pulled out a 2.5-inch-long pocketknife, waved it around, pointed it at her, and yelled profanities at her. Deborah was on Facetime with Deana during the incident and added that she asked Deana if that was a gun Pridemore had in his right hand when he raised it. Deana replied to Deborah, “No, it’s a knife.” Afterward, Deana issued an order of protection against Pridemore. Then, officers obtained a warrant for his arrest on May 17th, and he was later detained for the occurrence.

DUI: Carlos Raymundo falls asleep behind the wheel of his Honda Civic

25-year-old Carlos Raymundo was observed blocking a traffic lane with his Honda Civic on Old Hickory Boulevard on June 14th. Officers found that Raymundo was asleep with his hand on the gear shift and his keys in the ignition. Law enforcement attempted to wake Raymundo up multiple times by knocking on the window and announcing that they were Meto Police, but he showed no signs of waking. Officers decided to use a window breaker to get inside the vehicle, take the keys out of the car, and wake Raymundo up. Raymundo identified himself with a passport because he did not have a driver’s license.

After being asked to step out of his car, Raymundo demonstrated multiple signs of being intoxicated, including the strong odor of alcohol exuding from his breath. Inside Raymundo’s vehicle, officers observed an open container of Modelo and an open container of Corona. There were also three empty 32-ounce containers of Modelo, one empty 24-ounce container of Modelo, and an empty container of Michelob Ultra. Raymundo refused to perform sobriety tests but consented to a blood draw, so he was transported to General Hospital. After his blood was drawn, Carlos Raymundo was transported to booking and charged with driving under the influence, open container violation, and no driver’s license.

DUI: Shannon Graham drives off cliff near Bellevue West Apartments

55-year-old Shannon Graham was seen driving off of a small cliff near the Bellevue West Apartments on June 13th. A witness reported that she observed Graham climb out of her car after she drove off the cliff. When officers arrived, they spoke with Graham, who was standing outside of her apartment. Graham admitted that she was the one who was operating the car. While speaking to Graham, law enforcement noted that she smelled like alcohol and seemed visibly intoxicated. Graham refused to perform field sobriety tests and refused to take any chemical tests. Upon observing Graham’s vehicle, they located a bottle of New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Vodka. Shannon Graham was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

Craig Seaman tells daughter he “should deck her” for not giving his tools back

69-year-old Craig Seaman had a domestic incident with his daughter, Adrienne Bobos, at her residence on June 13th.  Seaman alerted the authorities, advising them that he had gone to his daughter’s house to retrieve the tools he had left behind while he was living in Thailand. When Adrienne refused to give him the tools, he responded by telling her he “should deck her.” After this, she went inside and would not let him in. When officers spoke with Adrienne, she corroborated her father’s statements, adding that he was very close to her and had his fist up as if he were going to punch her. Adrienne’s 13-year-old daughter witnessed this and confirmed her mother’s version of events. Seaman denied raising his fist at her but was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.
