Christopher Martinez-Gonzalez free on $100 bond after assaulting girlfriend for cheating

19-year-old Christopher Deangelo Martinez-Gonzalez had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Leslie Angeles-Vera, at their Dumas Drive apartment around 6:39 p.m. on June 15th. Upon arrival, officers located them and observed a broken doorframe and several of their items spread out over the unit. After officers separated them for questioning, Martinez-Gonzalez stated that he found out Angeles-Vera had been cheating on him, which upset him. Then, Martinez-Gonzalez said he got in her face, and she told him to move. When he did not, Angeles-Vara slapped him and pushed him away. Martinez-Gonzalez then told officers he left and went to the carwash. When he returned, he discovered that Angeles-Vara had locked him out of his residence. Martinez-Gonzalez broke the window and entered the apartment, sparking another dispute where he slapped her in the face, causing ringing in her ears. The couple then started pushing each other and throwing items around the apartment. Angeles-Vera spoke with officers and told them a similar statement, admitting to slapping Martinez-Gonzalez because he got in her face. She added that she was in fear since he had been aggressive with her in the past but did not want to press charges for the incident. Martinez-Gonzalez was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: David Muhire scores .384% BAC after being found passed out in his GMC Terrain on Bell Road

24-year-old David Muhire was found asleep behind the wheel of his white 2015 GMC Terrain near Bell Road and Hickory Hollow Trace in the morning hours of August 2nd, 2023. When officers arrived, they noticed the vehicle was in drive with two empty beer bottles in the cup holders. Officers tried to wake Muhire up multiple times but were unsuccessful. Officers were then forced to break his window to retrieve him. Muhire remained unresponsive until he got to Southern Hills Hospital, where a nurse stated he had a 0.384 BAC% and would be there for three hours. Muhire was cited for the occurrence that day. Muhire was later booked on the citation of driving under the influence on June 17th, 2024.

Elijah Miller threatens to shoot up Fortis Institute after instructor turns him away from class

32-year-old Elijah Miller threatened his instructor, Rhonda Evans, in their classroom at Fortis Institute on June 3rd. Officers were advised that Miller attempted to enter the class but did not have the required materials. Ms. Evans then turned Miller away, which upset him. Miller started threatening to shoot Ms. Evans and Ms. Gulley before threatening to shoot up the whole school. Later that day, there were several shots fired at the school. Following this, another teacher, Brittany Landrey, felt it may have been Miller, so she called him to ask. Miller told Landrey, “It was not me this time, but it will be next time,” placing the teachers in fear for their lives. A warrant was issued for his arrest on June 11th. Miller was taken into custody for threatening mass violence in school on June 14

Celine Louissant husband during physical altercation over their daughter

23-year-old Celine Louissant had a domestic altercation with her husband, Karlos Normil, at their Twin Circle Drive residence late June 17th. Normil told responding officers that he and Louissant argued while cooking in the kitchen, causing him to go to the garage, where he sat down with their daughter on his lap. Then, he stated that Louissant came outside trying to take their daughter and continue their dispute. Normil said after he did not let her take their child, a scuffle ensued. During the altercation, Louissant scratched Normil between his collarbone and poked his eye, leaving visible marks. After transporting Normil to Southern Hills Hospital, police spoke with Bernard Nelson, a witness, who corroborated Normil’s statement. Louissant was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Jonah Terry sprays bystanders with fire extinguisher at WeGo Central Bus Station

27-year-old Jonah Terry caused a disturbance at Bay 15 of the WeGo Central Bus Station late on June 17th. When officers arrived, they were advised that Terry had gotten angry after the WeGo staff told him he could not ride the bus. Then, Terry grabbed a fire extinguisher and sprayed it all over, preventing nearby bystanders from continuing their activities. Terry was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Scott Leist drags girlfriend down stairs, breaks her left hip during argument

65-year-old Scott Leist was taken into custody for aggravated assault on June 16th. On June 12th, around 9:40 p.m., officers responded to Leist’s Eatons Creek Road residence regarding a 911 hand-up call. When officers arrived, they observed Elaine Mccarty Nugent in pain, lying on her back on the rear porch. Nugent then advised them that her boyfriend, Leist, dragged her down the stairs and onto their porch during an argument. Nugent said he also kicked her several times, so officers had her transported to Skyline Hospital. Doctors at Skyline Hospital informed Nugent that she had a broken left hip. Leist was not on the scene then, so officers obtained a warrant for his arrest. He was later detained for the occurrence.

Caleb Compton threatens estranged wife with gun during child drop-off

22-year-old Caleb Compton had an altercation with his estranged wife and son’s mother, Ivy Compton, at her house on June 14th. Officers were advised that they share custody of their 1-year-old son. Per their parenting plan, Caleb met her at her home to pick him up and keep him for a week. Usually, Ivy’s brother goes with her to ensure there would be no issues, however, he could not make it, so she was alone. When Ivy arrived home and started getting their son out of her car, Caleb pulled up his shirt, revealing a handgun tucked in his waistband. Caleb stated, “Where is your brother now? Not so tough without your brother here,” which frightened Ivy, so she took a step back. She added that Caleb kept showing the firearm during their interaction. Officers then obtained a warrant for his arrest. Caleb Compton was later taken into custody for aggravated assault on June 17th.

Cody Johnson caught after several people trespass on man’s vacant property

29-year-old Cody James Johnson was one of several people trespassing on Malek Nabil Yafai’s Old Elm Hill Pike property around 6:51 p.m. on February 21st. Yafai told responding officers the location was vacant but had an active trespass waiver on file. Yafai stated that he wanted Johnson and the others removed from the property. Yafai also wanted to press charges for the occurrence. When officers located Johnson, he told them he knew he was not supposed to be there but was retrieving his belongings. Johnson explained that Yafai had repeatedly told him not to be on the property. Johnson was cited for the incident that day. Johnson was later booked on the citation of criminal trespassing on June 17th.

Christopher Gibby strangles woman after threatening to stab her with scissors

49-year-old Christopher Alan Gibby had a domestic altercation with Monika Witkowski at their Broadstone SoBro apartment on the afternoon of June 15th. Witkowski told responding officers that she and Gibby had an argument, which escalated when he became aggressive and threatened her. Gibby then granned a pair of scissors and held them as if he was going to stab Witowski. She said that after she managed to get the scissors from him, their dispute continued into their bedroom. While on the bed, Gibby held her down and strangled her, impeding her breathing. Officers noticed that Witkowski sustained visible injuries to her chin, face, and chest. Officers deemed Gibby the primary aggressor and detained him for the incident. Gibby was taken into custody for aggravated assault.

DUI: Stephen Tiemann gets vehicle stuck on curb, tells police “I, me, myself, was driving”

30-year-old Stephen Lee Tiemann had gotten his vehicle stuck on the curb near Hart Lane around 4:59 a.m. on June 17th. Officers observed this and approached him. When they spoke with Tiemann, they noticed he reeked of booze and showed signs of intoxication. Tiemann then admitted to having two shots at midnight. Tiemann told officers, “I, me, myself, was driving,” after being prompted with sobriety tests. Tiemann consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Tiemann was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
