24-year-old John Dunste Kettelle was found sleeping behind the wheel in his truck at the Bridgestone Parking Garage on June 29th. When officers arrived, they located Kettelle passed out with his keys in the ignition. Officers woke him up and had him exit the vehicle, during which they noticed he reeked of booze. Then, Kettelle stated he had been drinking with his friends downtown and decided to go to his car for a nap. He took sobriety tests and performed poorly before allowing officers to search his vehicle, where they found multiple beer cans inside a grocery bag on the backseat and in the truck bed. Kettelle refused to provide a chemical sample, so he was later taken into custody for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation.
