33-year-old Dominique Jackson was seen passed out behind the wheel at Waffle House on Murfreesboro Road on June 29th. Security informed officers that the driver and passenger of a vehicle were passed out in a car. Security claimed the pair had been there for almost two hours and attempted to wake them up but could not. Security also told officers that there was an open container of alcohol in the center console and that the driver appeared to be intoxicated. When officers arrived, they spoke with Jackson as he returned to the driver’s seat. When asked what was going on, Jackson told officers that Waffle House had messed up his order. When officers requested Jackson to perform sobriety tests, he agreed. However, Jackson showed numerous indicators of intoxication in two of the three tests. Officers also observed Jackson’s red, watery eyes before speaking with the passenger. When asked, the vehicle’s passenger informed officers that The Club Cocktail’s can was not hers. Jackson was deemed intoxicated and was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.
