DUI: Matthew Pendergrass drives down I-24 East after drinking Jim Beam Vanilla

28-year-old Matthew Pendergrass was reported as a drunk driver on I-24 East at 6:14 a.m. on June 30th. When officers made contact with Pendergrass, they noticed he reeked of alcohol. After asking Pendergrass how much he had to drink, he told replied “Jim Beam Vanilla.” Pendergrass then stated that he had a couple of shots and mixed drinks. Pendergrass performed sobriety tests and performed poorly on all of them. Matthew Pendergrass was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Matthew I. Pendergrass of Seneca Forest Drive in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 30th, charged with DUI. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $3,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
