Jarvis Jones destroys grandma’s car with hammer, tells police he was bored

18-year-old Jarvis Jones was seen hitting his grandmother, Lisa Collier’s car at Vista Court on June 29th. When officers arrived and made contact with Jones, he admitted that he used a hammer to damage the vehicle. When asked why he did it, Jones said “he was bored and the car didn’t work.” Jones also stated that he didn’t like being home alone. Through further interaction, officers found that Collier was borrowing the vehicle that Jones damaged. While looking at the car, officers observed broken front and rear windows, a broken rearview mirror, broken off windshield wipers, the rear deck lid, and the speakers ripped out. Jones was taken into custody and charged with vandalism.

Jarvis Turrell Jones of Vista Court in Nashville, TN was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 29th, charged with vandalism. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
