24-year-old Zion Davis and his passenger were having motor issues with a stolen vehicle on Interstate 24 West near Mile Marker 52.6 at 11:47 p.m. on June 25th. Officers observed this and assisted Davis and the other occupants of the car. During this, officers ran the plates and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen, so they had them step away from the car and detained Davis. Under Miranda, he stated he had nothing to do with stealing the vehicle, valued at around $5,000. Davis was then taken into custody for vehicle theft.
