22-year-old April Earps was seen visually impaired at 12:40 a.m. on July 5th. Earps approached officers, stating she could not get home and needed assistance. While interacting with Earps, officers observed that she was intoxicated. During their conversation, Earps admitted that she had been drinking. Earps informed officers that she lived out of county, so they could not transport her to her residence. Officers attempted to get her a taxi, but she told officers that she felt unsafe being alone in a taxi. Earps was then told to call someone to help her get home. Earps told officers that she didn’t know anyone’s number. Officers deemed that Earps was unable to care for herself, so she was taken into custody for public intoxication.
