Thomas Carstens caught with cocaine after refusing to leave JW Marriot Hotel

36-year-old Thomas Carstens caused a disturbance by refusing to leave JW Marriot Nashville on 8th Avenue South late July 20th. Upon arrival, officers located Carstens and noticed he had a bloody nose, dilated pupils, and could not sit still. Then, Carstens admitted that he had ingested cocaine and alcohol throughout the day. When officers asked if he had taken all of it, he replied, “No.” and pulled out a little over a gram of cocaine from his pocket. Carstens was then taken into custody for simple possession.

Thomas Carstens was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 20th, charged with simple possession. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
