46-year-old Joshua Packer was seen attempting to hit a traffic enforcement officer, Matthew Kimble, with his black Acura at the Nashville International Airport on July 23rd. As officers were about to arrive, Kimble informed them that Packer had driven off. Kimble then told them that Packer had parked his car and walked toward him aggressively. Once officers arrived, they observed Packer walking from Kimble to his car, so they told him to stop. However, Packer ignored officers and continued to get in his vehicle. Officers approached Packer’s car and informed him that he was being detained, to which he replied, “OK,” and then sped off.

After running the tags on the vehicle, Packer was identified as the driver. Body cam footage was later provided of Kimble attempting to block an area to get Packer a better location to park and Packer disregarding him. Packer was then seen continuing to drive toward Kimble, to the point that Kimble had to move out of the way not to get hit. Joshua Packer was later found and taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and evading arrest on July 28th.
