35-year-old Nahum Sanchez had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Cerda Lucio Claudia Elizabeth, at their Orlando Avenue residence late July 28th. Elizabeth was crying as she told responding officers that Sanchez had been drinking and had become verbally aggressive with her. She stated that Sanchez accused her of cheating, making remarks saying, “If I find out who you are cheating on me with, I will kill them or you.” Elizabeth further explained that she and Sanchez were in bed when she reached for her phone.
She explained that he grabbed her hand and applied his body weight onto it when she reached for her phone. Elizabeth stated this caused immediate pain to her pointer finger. Elizabeth also told officers that she tried separating herself from Sanchez, but he grabbed her hair and pulled it. Elizabeth’s daughter witnessed the incident and told officers that she yelled at Sanchez to stop before grabbing her grandmother’s cane and running upstairs to defend Elizabeth. Sanchez was then taken into custody for domestic assault.
Nahum Sanchez of Orlando Avenue in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Nashville Jail on July 28th, charged with domestic assault. He is free on a $1,500 bond.
