55-year-old Richard Stephen Rumpf caused a disturbance at Nashville International Airport on the afternoon of July 27th. Nashville Airport Police Department officers received a call regarding an intoxicated individual, later identified as Rumpf, who was yelling at American Airlines staff. When officers arrived, they observed Rumpf matching the description provided by dispatch as he stumbled up the concourse, screaming at the person he was on the phone with.

Then, after officers stopped Rumpf, they noticed he reeked of alcohol and was belligerent. He could not reach someone to pick him up and was deemed a danger to himself. Because of this, Rumpf was detained for the incident. Rumpf was then taken into custody for public intoxication.
