Tatyana Pippins punches music production business partner during argument

29-year-old Tatyana Pippins was involved in a domestic altercation with her music partner, Joshua Rudd, while at his William Turner Parkway apartment on July 20th. When the officers arrived, they spoke with Rudd, who explained that he and Pippins were business partners in a music venture and had a venue event coming up. Rudd mentioned receiving multiple texts from Pippins that morning, leading to an argument where Pippins threatened to have people come to his house. Concerned, Rudd went to Pippins’ apartment on William Turner Parkway to retrieve his belongings. Rudd waited for Pippins to let him inside, offering to stay outside to avoid further conflict. Rudd claimed he started collecting his music equipment and began looking for his laptop. Rudd said the argument escalated when Pippins pushed him while he was searching for his laptop. Pippins then punched him in the face when he peeked inside her room. Rudd ignored the punch, but Pippins proceeded to punch him two more times in the face, causing an injury to his upper lip. Rudd informed the officers that he was able to retrieve his laptop. Rudd then proceeded to show officers text messages between him and Pippins that occurred after the incident. In the messages, Pippins admits to the assault, saying, “I apologize.” A warrant was issued for Pippins’ arrest, and she was later found and taken into custody for domestic assault on July 30th.

Robert Dalton pushes in girlfriend’s window AC unit, punches window during altercation

25-year-old Robert Dalton was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Kristen Carney, at a 9th Avenue North residence on July 30th. Carney contacted law enforcement, stating that her boyfriend pushed in the window AC unit then punched the window, causing it to shatter. Carney then told police Dalton left and was walking towards Kroger on Monroe Street. When officers made contact with Dalton, they observed that his hands were bloody. When officers brought up Dalton’s hands, he stated that he “knew it was a good look.” After their interaction with Dalton, officers spoke with Carney again. This time, she told officers that she was in fear for her safety and that she believed that if Dalton had gained access to her residence, he would have assaulted her. Officers were informed about Dalton and Carney’s prior domestic incidents, including an incident where Dalton told Carney he was going to beat her. Dalton was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Claudia Gavidia assaults boyfriend & minor daughter, destroys her phone during altercation

37-year-old Claudia Gavidia had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Nicolas Martinez Velis, and her minor daughter at their Cathy Jo Circle residence on July 30th. Dispatch was notified that individuals were fighting at the location. When the officers arrived, they observed Gavidia’s daughter covered in dirt and grass. She explained that she witnessed Gavidia trying to hit Velis with a power cable and attempted to intervene. Gavidia’s daughter added that her little brother was crying inside the home and that she was concerned for his safety. She told officers that she yelled at Gavidia, telling her to leave them alone and that she was going to call the police. After this, she said she ran outside to the front yard to alert the authorities but could not because Gavidia ran after her and took her iPhone away. Then, Gavidia and her daughter wrestled and fought in the grass over the phone. Gavidia reportedly took the phone inside the home and smashed it onto the hardwood floor. Officers observed the shattered cell phone and discovered it was inoperable. Gavidia’s daughter told them the $1,300 iPhone 12 Pro Max was a gift from her aunt due to her concerns about ongoing issues with Gavidia. When officers spoke with Gavidia, she denied any argument or physical scuffle between her and Velis. Then, Gavidia told officers that she had taken the phone away from her because she always calls her aunt during their disputes and admitted to smashing the phone. Velis told officers that he and Gavidia had a verbal dispute, during which she threw a cord at his head but missed. Gavidia was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault, interference with a 911 call, vandalism, and robbery.

David Woodall harasses ex-girlfriend by calling her 65 times in 30 minutes

29-year-old David Woodall was allegedly harassing his ex-girlfriend, Christina Smith, on October 18th, 2020. During her statement, Smith told officers that in the span of half an hour, she received 65 unsolicited phone calls from Woodall. Smith added that he even contacted her mother to attempt to speak to her. Smith also stated that in text message conversations between them, Woodall told her he was coming to her home. Woodall was later taken into custody for harassment almost four years later, on July 30th, 2024.

Christina Feagans punches boyfriend after being kicked out of Hootie & The Blowfish concert

47-year-old Christina Louise Feagans was involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Tyler McCoy, while at Rippy’s Honky Tonk Bar on Broadway on July 27th. When officers arrived on the scene, they were flagged down and spoke with McCoy. He informed officers that he and Feagans were at a Hootie & the Blowfish concert at Bridgestone Arena, but Feagans had been asked to leave because of her level of intoxication. McCoy explained that he had Feagans’ phone and was trying to call an Uber. He stated this made Feagans upset and started punching him multiple times in the face and ribs. McCoy claimed he then returned the phone before Feagans left the location on foot. Officers noticed marks on his face that were consistent with being assaulted. McCoy also told officers that he lives with Feagans at her Monte Bella Place residence in Franklin, TN, and that they have been dating for two months. Additionally, officers attempted to make contact with Feagans at her job but were unable to speak with her. Feagans was later taken into custody for domestic assault on July 30th.

Jeremy Towner punches girlfriend in head after she won’t drive him back to Indiana

37-year-old Jeremy Towner had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Reyshawn Anna Maria Pollins, at his Gatewood Avenue apartment on July 19th. Pollins called the police to Love’s Travel Stop on Trinity Lane, where she told them Towner assaulted her.  She further explained that Towner called her to help him move back to Indiana, where she lives. Then, Pollins said after she arrived at the apartment complex, she went to use the bathroom in Towner’s unit. Pollins stated she was greeted by another woman who shares a child with Towner, which sparked an argument. Once Pollins returned to her vehicle, she texted Towner, telling him she wanted him to bring her stuff to the car. When Towner got to her car, Pollins told him to leave the duffel bag and that she would not drive him back to Indiana. Then, after they argued for a short period, Pollins stated that Towner grabbed her phone and put it on top of the car. She then told the police that she reached for her phone. In response, Towner grabbed her by the throat, forced her against the car, and punched her in the head repeatedly, causing her lip to bleed. Pollins said that while he was hitting her, he was saying, “This is what you want?” After this, she entered her car, drove away, and alerted the authorities. Officers observed her visible injuries and obtained a warrant for Towner’s arrest. Towner was later taken into custody for aggravated assault on July 30th.  

Paige Empey steals $263 worth of merchandise from Nordstrom using magnet

28-year-old Paige Kaitlin Empey was observed shoplifting at Nordstrom on Abbott Martin Road in the evening hours of March 20th. Responding officers spoke with a loss prevention officer, Tyrell Luture Rutledge, who stated he witnessed Empey entering the store with an empty bag. Rutledge stated Empey then grabbed multiple items from the clothing rack and went to the changing room. Rutledge added that Empey exited the changing room without the merchandise in her hands, which was when he detained her at the exit. Then, he told officers that he found stolen items in her bag, totaling $263.90. The police were advised that Empey had a magnet in her purse that disables the alarm attached to the clothing. She was then cited for the occurrence. Empey failed to appear in court and was jailed for theft on July 31st.

Kevin Meneses Gutierres strangles girlfriend, threatens to kill her for messaging his mother

19-year-old Kevin Jose Meneses Gutierres had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Iris Yahoska Davila, at their Windsor Brook Place residence on July 31st. Davila advised responding officers that she, Gutierres, her children, and his family stayed at the residence. Then, she further explained that she messaged Gutierres’ mother and that the message’s contents upset Gutierres. Davila said that after Gutierres picked his mom up from work, he returned home and confronted her about the message she sent. Davila told officers that Gutierres attacked her with his hands, knocking her to the ground. She added that he then restrained her by putting his knees on her arms to keep her from getting up.

Then, Gutierres reportedly put his hands around her neck and strangled her, during which she struggled with breathing. In response, Davila’s 4-year-old child began hitting Gutierres to get him off her. The police report stated that Gutierres told Davila he would kill her while strangling her. Shortly after, Gutierres’ aunt and uncle returned home, went into the bathroom, and separated the two. Officers noticed Davila had bruising and scratches on her arms, neck, and face, consistent with her statements. A medic evaluated her, but she refused to be transported to the hospital. Officers then spoke with Gutierres, who said Davila attacked him and that he held her down to stop her from assaulting him. When they asked him how Davila got her injuries, Gutierres stated that she hurt herself. Gutierres was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for aggravated assault.

Ryan Harrington jailed after stealing man’s 2023 Lincoln Navigator & multiple guns

48-year-old Ryan Harrington was caught after stealing a 2023 Lincoln Navigator on Stovenhaven Court on July 30th. Officers were provided camera footage from the original scene, in which detectives observed Harrington wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans. Once detectives arrived at the home where the stolen vehicle was located, they came into contact with Harrington. Harrington was seen lying on a couch wearing the same clothes he was seen wearing in the surveillance footage. The victim of the incident, Michael Hoover, informed officers that his prescription medication was inside his vehicle along with three handguns. After all of Hoover’s belongings were found in the car. Harrington was taken into custody for legend drug possession, three counts of theft of a firearm, and theft of $60,000 to $250,000.

DUI: April Blacksmith crashes Chevy Impala into parked car after driving without license

56-year-old April Denise Blacksmith crashed her black Chevy Impala into a parked vehicle near the South 11th Street and Shelby Avenue intersection on July 30th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Blacksmith, who initially stated she was in the car before admitting she was the driver. During their interaction, officers noticed she reeked of alcohol and was dropping things out of her hands. Then, Blacksmith admitted she drank beer and had a couple shots a few hours prior. When prompted, Blacksmith consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and after being informed of implied consent, refused to provide a chemical sample. Then, the police ran her information and discovered she had no valid driver’s license. Blacksmith was then taken into custody for driving under the influence, an implied consent violation, and having no valid driver’s license.
