Andre Barnett throws boyfriend’s belongings off balcony after he says he’s not “in the mood” for sex

19-year-old Andre Barnett had a domestic incident with his boyfriend, Nathaniel Green Jr., at their Hermitage Studios apartment on July 22nd. Green Jr. told responding officers that Barnett had thrown his belongings from the balcony, cracking his iPad screen. He added that Barnett wanted to have s*x, but he was not “in the mood.” Green Jr. stated that Barnett had become upset and said he was going to invite someone else over to “f*ck.” Green Jr. responded that he was not okay with that, adding that if Barnett did that, he would leave. Then, when Green Jr. told Barnett he was leaving, Barnett grabbed Green Jr.’s arm tightly and said, “You are not going anywhere,” preventing him from exiting. Green Jr. told Barnett he was calling the police, which is when he let Green Jr. go. After this, Barnett chucked Green Jr.’s tote bag from the second-floor balcony near the mulch area and left with a friend. Officers observed Green Jr.’s items, including his broken iPad, on the ground as he advised them that he wanted to press charges for the occurrence.  The police located Barnett near the Old Hickory Boulevard Subway, where he explained that Green Jr. refused to have sex with him, so he told him to leave. Then, Barnett admitted to grabbing Green Jr.’s property and throwing it over the balcony, adding that he did not know Green Jr.’s iPad was in his bag. Barnett was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for false imprisonment, domestic assault, and vandalism on July 23rd.

Bryonna Tomlin attempts to crash into ex-boyfriend’s car, running him off road during argument

23-year-old Bryonna Tomlin had a domestic incident with her ex-boyfriend and roommate, Travis Scott Collins Jr., on July 20th. Collins Jr. called 911 to their Due West Avenue North apartment. Collins Jr. stated that he and Tomlin had been arguing since the day before. He added that he was driving down Apple Valley Road when he observed Tomlin driving toward him on the opposite side of the road. Collins Jr. stated Tomlin then swerved into his traffic lane, attempting to cause a head-on collision. He added this caused him to veer off the roadway and strike a curb, leaving his tire flat. Tomlin spoke with officers and admitted to swerving into Collin Jr.’s lane only because she was looking away from the road. Collins Jr. informed police that he wished to press charges for the occurrence. Tomlin was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Quadre Anderson knocks man out for arguing with woman at Luke’s 32 Bridge

23-year-old Quadre Anderson had an altercation with Charles Kellen Morrow at Luke’s 32 Bridge on July 20th. Responding officers noticed Morrow suffered major head trauma, so they called the medics immediately, who transported him to Vanderbilt. Then, security at the bar informed police that Morrow had been assaulted by Anderson, and they had him detained. Officers escorted Anderson and gathered information. Anderson stated he was attempting to defend a female whom Morrow was getting into a “shoving match” with, causing him to hit him. Afterward, officers reviewed security footage, showing Morrow arguing with a female at the bar, who shoved him multiple times as he continued trying to talk to her. While she and Morrow were disputing, Anderson punched Morrow several times in the face, causing him to stumble onto the bar. Then, Anderson started focusing on one of Morrow’s associates and shoved him, nearly knocking him off his feet before returning to Morrow and pushing him onto the floor. Anderson then continued striking Morrow in the face until he lost consciousness and left. Security informed officers that Anderson was banned from the location and all other sister establishments before the incident and provided documentation corroborating that. Anderson was then taken into custody for criminal trespass and aggravated assault.

Shadree Thompson throws items, knocks over shelf after being fired from Walmart

32-year-old Shadree Thompson, a former Walmart employee, caused a disturbance at the Dickerson Pike Walmart on October 19th, 2023. Around 10:55 p.m., the store management at the location set up a meeting with Thompson regarding her termination, which occurred the day before. After the meeting concluded, she started making her way out of the building and started acting disorderly. She demonstrated threatening and violent behavior before throwing store merchandise inside the business. Thompson also pushed over a shelf, creating a hazardous environment for patrons. Thompson caused approximately $500 worth of damage. The occurrence was captured on surveillance, which confirmed her as the person in question. A warrant was issued for her arrest on November 9th, 2023. Thompson was later taken into custody for vandalism and disorderly conduct on July 22nd, 2024.

Sydney Forrest punches boyfriend in face after catching him texting another woman

26-year-old Syndey Forrest had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Ami Merchant, at his Creative Way residence around 4:14 a.m. on July 22nd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Merchant, who stated he and Merchant had a dispute. Forrest told officers that she found a text message to another woman on his phone. Forrest noted this was when she pushed him onto the bed and punched him in the face. Merchant corroborated her statement and added that he told her she needed to leave when he got up. She then charged at him again, causing him to fear imminent bodily injury, so he punched her in the face to create a distance between them. After this, he went into the hall. When Merchant returned, Forrest blocked the doorway and held it closed. He responded by pushing the door open, leaving visible injury to Forrest’s face. Forrest was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Eugene McClough falls down stairs, urinates on wall while disturbing police investigation near Hilton Hotel

28-year-old Eugene McClough interfered with a police investigation near the Hilton Hotel on 4th Avenue South in the early hours of July 22nd. Officers were looking into a domestic-related incident when McClough was being disorderly, so they asked him to leave the area. He responded by being loud towards them and hindering them from making an arrest. During their interaction, they noticed he showed signs of impairment to the point of falling down a set of stairs. Once he got up, he urinated on a nearby wall, and officers detained him for the occurrence. As he was detained, he became resistive, stiffening up and refusing to get into their patrol car. McClough was then taken into custody for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Sean Hollanquest drunkenly yells at girlfriend outside Hilton Hotel

38-year-old Sean Hollanquest caused a disturbance near the Hilton Hotel on 4th Avenue South around 3:03 a.m. on July 22nd. A passerby notified authorities, advising there had been an altercation in the area, which was later discovered to be domestic-related. While investigating, officers observed Hollanquest yelling loudly at his girlfriend on the public sidewalk. Despite multiple attempts to calm him down, he refused, leading to a small crowd surrounding him. Nearby patrons told officers that they tried de-escalating the incident for fear that he would get physical with his partner. Hollanquest was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Roman Shabanov waves arms around moaning on Glastonbury road after taking Opium

30-year-old Roman Sergeyevich Shabanov was observed walking aimlessly, moaning, and waving his arms uncontrollably on Glastonbury Road in the early hours of July 22nd. When officers approached him, he began to walk into the nearby apartment complex. Officers noticed Shabanov was sweating profusely and could not sit still while speaking with police. He initially denied consuming narcotics and told officers he resides near Hermitage, TN, but provided them with multiple addresses. Then, Shabanov advised officers that he had been dropped off to stay with his friend, “T.I,” who stayed in the apartments at the location. Officers could not contact “T.I.” and, after Shabanov refused medical treatment, deemed him a danger to himself. During a subsequent search of him, officers found approximately a gram of an unknown white powdery substance that he later identified as opium with possible fentanyl. Shabanov was taken into custody for simple possession and public intoxication.

Sola Arikawe ignores police while walking on I-24 East, tells officers “Jesus told him to keep walking”

45-year-old Sola Arikawe was spotted walking on I-24 East at marker 49 on July 21st. Officers were called to the scene after reports of a black man walking on the left shoulder of the interstate. When officers arrived, they noticed that a TDOT help truck had stopped traffic on the interstate and alerted the officers. The officers turned on their emergency lights and used their patrol car sound system to instruct Arikawe to stop, but he continued walking. More officers arrived, with one car behind Arikawe and another in front. The officers behind Arikawe exited their vehicle and told him to stop, which he then complied with. Officers tried to get Arikawe to move to the right shoulder grass area for safety. Still, he refused, saying, “Jesus told him to keep walking.” As a result, Arikawe was taken into custody for refusing to disperse after being ordered to move.

Whitney Martishius bites boyfriend’s ear after seeing texts from another woman

31-year-old Whitney Lavon Martishius had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Ryan Shannon, at her Fairfax Avenue apartment late July 22nd. Shannon told responding officers that he and Martishius had gotten into an argument after she saw text messages from a woman he used to talk to. He added that she started striking him in the face and bit his right ear, drawing blood. When officers spoke with Martishius, she denied that anything physical occurred. Due to the injuries Shannon sustained, they deemed her the primary aggressor. Martishius was then taken into custody for domestic assault on July 23rd.
