46-year-old Christopher Farmer damaged property at a 1st Avenue North establishment on the afternoon of August 2nd. When officers arrived, they located Farmer sitting in front of the business. Farmer told officers, “I smashed the door. I kicked it in and threw a rock at it,” before stating, “I drank half a bottle of vodka and had one drink at Margaritaville.”

Officers noticed Farmer reeked of alcohol while showing signs of intoxication. Farmer told officers, “I wanted to swim across the river to the stadium, but they told me I couldn’t.” Then, the property owner told police he did not want to press charges for the damaged door. However, the property owner did want to prosecute Farmer for trespassing since he refused to leave after being asked. Farmer was deemed a danger to himself and taken into custody for criminal trespass and public intoxication.
