Ion Rapita & friends steal $6,000 worth of merchandise from Coach Outlet

18-year-old Ion Rapita was identified as one of the six individuals who helped steal from the Cane Ridge Parkway Coach Outlet at 12:46 p.m. on July 22nd. The police report stated that four males, Ion Lache, Rapita, Ionut Ispilante, Ciprian Mirea, and two unidentified females, entered the establishment and spread out. At the same time, Mirea and Ispilante spoke with employees to distract them, which was when the others gathered $6,000 worth of merchandise.

After this, they exited the front door and entered two Toyota vans with Virginia plates. A felony alert was placed on one of the vehicles, which was later stopped in Smyrna, TN, on July 25th. During the stop, Smyrna PD identified Lache, Rapita, Ispilante, and Mirea. Video surveillance from the Coach Outlet confirmed the four males as the persons in question. A warrant was issued for Rapita’s arrest on August 1st. Rapita was taken into custody for theft on August 2nd.

Ion Rapita of Interurban Ave in Tukwila, WA, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 2nd, charged with theft of merchandise. He is free on a $20,000 bond.
