29-year-old Laureano Taperia Reymundo was jailed on August 5th for getting his 17-year-old girlfriend pregnant. On August 5th, East Patrol officers responded and spoke with the 17-year-old, who stated she was seven months pregnant with Reymundo’s child.
She added that she had been living in Nashville for about a year with Reymundo. When officers spoke with Reymundo, he admitted, under Miranda, that he had gotten her pregnant when she was 16 years old and that she was his girlfriend. Reymundo was then taken into custody for aggravated statutory rape.
Laureano Taperia Reymundo was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 5th, charged with aggravated statutory rape. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $7,500.
