48-year-old Shanel Brown had an altercation with Elijah Fisher and John Gold at the Margaritaville Nashville Hotel in the early hours of August 6th. Upon arrival, officers observed the three individuals in front of the establishment and separated them to speak with them. Then, security for the location advised the police that the incident started at the corner of the back alley when Brown punched Gold in the mouth, leaving a cut on his bottom lip.
Security added that the dispute continued to the front entrance of the hotel when Brown presented a knife, threatening Fisher and Brown. Then, security said Gold grabbed a wood plank from the ground and started arguing with Brown until officers arrived. Brown was taken into custody for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Shanel Brown was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 6th, charged with two counts of aggravated assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $40,000.
