35-year-old George Clardy was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend, Tara Mishtal, at her Airways Circle residence on July 17th. Mishtal reported that while she was reading a book, Clardy had begun pleasuring himself beside her on the bed. When Mishtal got up and told Clardy he was being disrespectful, he got upset and accused her of talking to other guys. Mishtal tossed her phone on the bed for Clardy to read, then went inside the living room.
Clardy followed her inside the living room, grabbed her, and threw her towards the couch. While Mishtal was falling, she tried to use her left arm to brace herself from the impact, but it caused her to break her hand in the process. Mishtal reported that after she fell, Clardy got on top of her for around three minutes and would not let her up, so she bit him. After she got away from Clardy, she made her way to a hospital, where a doctor confirmed that her left hand was broken. Clardy was later taken into custody and charged with domestic assault on August 13th.
George Edward Clardy of Joe Joyner Road in Munford, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 13th, charged with domestic assault. He is free on a $2,500 bond.
