37-year-old Bowling Green Firefighter Travis Keown was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Shannon Keown, while at the Grand Ole Opry on Opryland Drive on August 14th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Shannon, who claimed she and Travis were leaving the Laney Wilson concert. As they left, they started walking back to their ride, but Travis became upset because she was walking slowly.

Shannon informed officers that Travis then slapped her right arm, which caused an injury that officers observed. Officers then spoke with Travis, who told officers under Miranda that he did not slap her, as well as stated, “I would never hit my wife.” He also said that he did not recall what happened. Travis was then deemed the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault on August 15th.
