Daquan Hill smashes man’s car window after he allegedly stole his backpack

33-year-old Daquan Hill was seen smashing someone’s car window at his apartment complex on Murfreesboro Pike on August 16th. When officers arrived, the victim informed them about the incident. Officers then made contact with Hill, who immediately admitted to breaking the window. Once officers informed him of his Miranda Rights, he reiterated that he busted the window with his hands out of anger. Hill stated he did this in relation to another incident where Hill contacted officers saying that the victim stole his backpack. After that, Hill decided to “Take care of the issue himself,” leading to him breaking the window. During officers’ interaction with Hill, he also confessed that he was under the influence of marijuana and alcohol. Hill was then taken into custody and charged with vandalism.

Letitia Thomas steals $500 worth of merchandise at Target

41-year-old Letitia Thomas was seen shoplifting at the Target on Charlotte Pike on July 26th. After being detained by the store’s security, arriving officers read Thomas her Miranda Rights. Once Thomas was Mirandized, she confessed that she attempted to leave the store without paying for anything. The value of the merchandise Thomas had in her possession was $500. Officers cited her for the violation that day. Thomas was later booked on the citation of theft of merchandise on August 12th.

Tamondria McBride steals man’s phone after assaulting woman

32-year-old Tamondria McBride was involved in an altercation with Laquinta Smith on June 9th. Reports of the incident indicate that McBride assaulted Smith, resulting in abrasions to her left eye and knees. Following the assault on Smith, McBride grabbed another member of the incident’s phone, Jeremiah Brantley, off the ground where he had dropped it prior to the altercation and left. McBride was later found and taken into custody for theft of property and assault on August 16th.

Samuel Harrison harasses man over shared dog via numerous text messages

24-year-old Samuel David Harrison argued with Ian Mizelle about their shared dog via text on August 1st. On August 5th, Mizelle went to the police and reported that he wanted to prosecute a report he had filed on August 3rd regarding the incident. Mizelle stated that he told Harrison that after he sent the money he owed him for their shared dog, he wanted out and expressed that he was “done for good.” Mizelle further explained that Harrison then called and texted him 14 times between August 1st and August 3rd. A warrant was then obtained for Harrison’s arrest that day. Harrison was later taken into custody for harassment on August 15th.

Shanti-Nigue Goree jailed after being unable to pay for $130 service at Star Nails

34-year-old Shanti-Nigue Goree could not pay for services she received at Star Nails on July 19th. When officers arrived, they spoke with the establishment owner, Lynda Nguyen. She stated Goree walked into the location to get her nails done and told her she would pay upon completion. Then, Nguyen said that Goree started acting strangely, so she asked Goree if she could close the account before finishing. Goree responded by asking if she could pay via PayPal. However, Nguyen advised Goree that they did not accept digital transactions. Then, Goree gave Nguyen a friend’s phone number to help pay for the service, but they did not answer. After this, Goree told Nguyen that she did not have a way to pay and tried handing her a note explaining her current financial situation. Nguyen said she refused to read Goree’s note and informed officers that the services cost $130. Goree was then cited for the incident that day. Goree was later booked on the citation of theft on August 12th.

Treston Cleveland flees police after crashing stolen Infiniti into man’s rock retaining wall

18-year-old Treston Cleveland was identified as the driver observed in a black Infiniti sedan without lights in the Hartman Park parking lot around 2:30 a.m. on August 15th. The sedan sped off as officers entered the parking lot and turned onto Tucker Road. While following the Infiniti, the police noticed it reached 60 mph. The Infiniti then ran through the Ashland City Highway and Clarksville Pike red light and proceeded west on Ashland City Highway. After this, officers lost sight of the sedan near Windhover Drive. Shortly after, Joshua Hurst, a citizen, flagged down Officer Hurst in front of a Windhover residence. Hurst stated that a vehicle had just crashed next to his house, causing damage to his carport’s downspout.

Hurst added that the occupants fled on foot after crashing. Officers then spoke with Michael Tarleton, whose property was crashed into. They discovered that his rock retaining wall had been damaged and would cost over $1,500 to repair. After this, officers located two individuals, one of whom was Cleveland, walking away from the scene. Officers conducted a show-up with Hurst, who confirmed they were the persons in question. When the police spoke with Cleveland, he implicated himself as the driver. During their investigation, officers discovered that Romeo Rivera had reported the black Infiniti stolen and that Cleveland did not have a valid driver’s license. Cleveland told the police that he got the car from his father and did not steal it. Cleveland was taken into custody for vehicle theft, no driver’s license, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Geonnie Rucker steals $357 worth of merchandise from Target

20-year-old Geonnie Rucker attempted to steal from the White Bridge Pike Target on July 28th. The police report stated that Lydia Wheeler, a Target Loss Prevention agent, observed Rucker enter the establishment and gather several items. Wheeler then observed Rucker go to the self-checkout, where she scanned a few items before trying to flee the location. However, the loss prevention staff stopped Rucker before she could leave. The loss prevention staff discovered she had $357.73 worth of merchandise not paid for. Rucker was then cited for the incident that day. Rucker was later booked on the citation of theft on August 12th.

Shauntae Simmons steals $173.85 worth of merchandise at Opry Mills Mall

18-year-old Shauntae Simmons was seen shoplifting at Spencer’s and Children’s Place at Opry Mills Mall on July 12th. Once officers arrived, Simmons and another woman were stopped in connection with the theft. While interacting with Simmons, officers observed the stolen items from Spencer’s inside and an H&M bag that Simmons was holding. A search of the bag revealed that Simmons also possessed stolen items from The Children’s Place, which she confessed to taking. The total value of the stolen items came back as $173.85. Officers then cited her for the violation that day. Simmons was later booked on the citation of theft of merchandise on August 6th.

Tenasia Young booked after attempting to rip out man’s nose ring

25-year-old Tenasia Young had an altercation with Jaden Tucker at the Centennial Crossing apartments on the evening of July 25th. The police report stated that Young blocked the stairs, preventing Tucker from getting by. After he tried moving past her, Young grabbed the back of his collar. Then, when Tucker turned around, Young grabbed his shirt and chain before trying to rip out his nose ring. She was cited for the occurrence that day. Young was then later booked on the citation of assault on August 13th.

Samuel Schwartz strangles boyfriend on boat at Elm Hill Marina during lovers quarrel over keys

37-year-old Samuel Benjamin Schwartz had a domestic altercation with his boyfriend, James Neal II, at Elm Hill Marina on Bell Road late August 9th. Neal II told officers that he and Schwartz were spending time at the dock on his boat when an argument ensued. Neal II further explained that Schwartz accused him of having his keys. After this, Neal II said Schwartz strangled him while yelling, “Give me my shit!” Then, Neal II added that Schwartz punched him in the side of his head, causing him to fall forward and hit his ribs on the boat railing. Neal II provided the police with footage of the occurrence, corroborating his statements. Officers observed minor abrasions to the left side of Neal II’s rib. However, he refused transportation to the hospital for further evaluation. The police could not locate Schwartz that day. A warrant was obtained for Schwartz’s arrest on August 10th. Schwartz was later taken into custody for aggravated assault on August 15th.
