48-year-old Shanel Brown had an altercation with Elijah Fisher and John Gold at the Margaritaville Nashville Hotel in the early hours of August 6th. Upon arrival, officers observed the three individuals in front of the establishment and separated them to speak with them. Then, security for the location advised the police that the incident started at the corner of the back alley when Brown punched Gold in the mouth, leaving a cut on his bottom lip. Security added that the dispute continued to the front entrance of the hotel when Brown presented a knife, threatening Fisher and Brown. Then, security said Gold grabbed a wood plank from the ground and started arguing with Brown until officers arrived. Brown was taken into custody for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Laureano Reymundo jailed after getting 17-year-old girlfriend pregnant
29-year-old Laureano Taperia Reymundo was jailed on August 5th for getting his 17-year-old girlfriend pregnant. On August 5th, East Patrol officers responded and spoke with the 17-year-old, who stated she was seven months pregnant with Reymundo’s child. She added that she had been living in Nashville for about a year with Reymundo. When officers spoke with Reymundo, he admitted, under Miranda, that he had gotten her pregnant when she was 16 years old and that she was his girlfriend. Reymundo was then taken into custody for aggravated statutory rape.
Scott Quarles sends explicit images & videos to minors on Snapchat, tells them “I wonder how much c*m I’ll get in you”
30-year-old Scott Quarles solicited sexual exploitation with who he believed were 12-year-old and 13-year-old minor females via Snapchat and Kik between July 2024 and August 2024. Unbeknownst to Quarles, the “minor females” were undercover TBI Special Agents with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The police report stated that Quarles sent sexually explicit messages and photographs to the minors and requested that they send him some back. After this, Quarles sent over ten images and/or videos of himself nude, exposing his genitals while masturbating. On or around July 23rd, 2024, Quarles asked the minors, “Do you want to see a wet emoji video of me? Devil emoji,” before sending a minute-long video of him masturbating and ejaculating.
Then, Quarles continued to explain to the 13-year-old minor female how women get pregnant and stated that he wanted to get her pregnant. Police investigation revealed that Quarles even sent instructions on how to download an application where he could track their ovulation cycle in an effort to impregnate them. On or around August 1st, 2024, Quarles sent the 12-year-old minor female a video on Snapchat of him in blue boxers, exposing his genitals. The undercover TBI agent wrote back, “Is that really you?” Quarles responded, “Yes. Open wide for me,” before stating, “I wonder how much c*m I’ll get in you when I fill you up.” Then, Quarles sent another nude Snapchat to the 12-year-old, where he wrote, “Do you want to feel it pulsating inside you?” A warrant was obtained for Quarles’s arrest. Quarles was taken into custody for ten counts of displaying sexual acts to a minor and two counts of solicitation of a minor on August 6th.
Lennie Mitchell Jr. flees police on I-40 West at over 100 mph while driving with another car’s license plate
21-year-old Lennie Mitchell Jr was seen driving a white Dodge Charger with the wrong license plate on John A Merritt Boulevard on December 31st, 2023. While observing the Charger enter a gas station, officers discovered that its license plate actually belonged to a white 2015 Chrysler 300 S. After learning this, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the Charger with their emergency lights and sirens. Despite this, the Charger proceeded to accelerate onto I-40. Officers reported that Mitchell Jr. drove at speeds well above 100 mph into heavy traffic on I-40 West, so they terminated the traffic stop. Once the chase ended, officers returned to the gas station. Officers then obtained recordings of Mitchell Jr. entering the parking lot, entering the business, and re-entering his car. Mitchell Jr. was later found and taken into custody for evading arrest and misuse of registration on August 5th, 2024.
Mianga Mseleca resists arrest after refusing to stop walking in the middle of I-24 East
68-year-old Mianga Mseleca was seen walking in the middle of the roadway on I-24 East around mile marker 55 on August 4th. When the officers arrived, they noticed Mseleca standing in the middle of the active interstate. Despite several attempts by the officers to move him over to the right shoulder, he refused to cooperate. Officers then tried to move Mseleca inside their police vehicle to get him off the interstate. However, Mseleca again refused and continued to stand in the middle of I-24.
When officers attempted to handcuff Mseleca, he resisted and began pulling away before they apprehended him. Officers also noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from Mseleca. As a result, Mseleca was eventually taken into custody for public intoxication, resisting arrest, and refusal to disperse on August 5th.
Hommy Torres swipes at officers’ hands during scuffle at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar
21-year-old Hommy Jovani Torres was involved in an altercation between multiple people near Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar in the early hours of August 4th. When officers arrived, they separated the scuffle. During this, the police pushed Torres and told him to back away. Torres responded by swiping at officers’ hands before aggressively advancing toward the other individuals. Torres was then detained and taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
Eymiah Ford punches holes in wall after girlfriend breaks up with her
23-year-old Eymiah Ford was involved in a domestic disturbance with her girlfriend, Laquisha King, at their 12th Avenue South residence at 6:07 a.m. on August 5th. When officers arrived and spoke to King, she told them that Ford punched a hole in the wall of their apartment. King told officers Ford did this after she told her that she wanted to break up. King went on to say that Ford threatened her, stating, “You’re lucky I didn’t punch your face and put holes in it.” After contacting and Mirandizing Ford, she also admitted she told King, “The wall should have been your face.” Ford was then taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
Mikah Fuqua speeds down I-40 West at 93mph in her Mercedes-Benz during rush hour
21-year-old Mikah Fuqua was speeding in her white 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class on I-40 West on March 20th. Officers observed this and used their lidar, which recorded Fuqua going 93 mph in a 65 mph zone during rush hour. Once officers conducted a traffic stop, they found that Fuqua’s license was suspended and that she didn’t have any proof of insurance. Officers cited her for the violation that day. Fuqua was later booked on the citation of reckless driving, driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance.
Ion Rapita & friends steal $6,000 worth of merchandise from Coach Outlet
18-year-old Ion Rapita was identified as one of the six individuals who helped steal from the Cane Ridge Parkway Coach Outlet at 12:46 p.m. on July 22nd. The police report stated that four males, Ion Lache, Rapita, Ionut Ispilante, Ciprian Mirea, and two unidentified females, entered the establishment and spread out. At the same time, Mirea and Ispilante spoke with employees to distract them, which was when the others gathered $6,000 worth of merchandise. After this, they exited the front door and entered two Toyota vans with Virginia plates. A felony alert was placed on one of the vehicles, which was later stopped in Smyrna, TN, on July 25th. During the stop, Smyrna PD identified Lache, Rapita, Ispilante, and Mirea. Video surveillance from the Coach Outlet confirmed the four males as the persons in question. A warrant was issued for Rapita’s arrest on August 1st. Rapita was taken into custody for theft on August 2nd.
Michelle LeeAnn Smith-Moya jailed after having sexual intercourse with minor
44-year-old Michelle LeeAnn Smith-Moya had a domestic altercation with her husband, Jose Moya, at their Riverwood Drive residence on August 2nd. Responding officers spoke with Jose, who stated, “I was downstairs cooking bacon when my wife came downstairs as well. My wife and I have been having verbal altercations the past day or so over another incident with her friend’s children, who are staying with us. While I was cooking the bacon, my wife walked up to me and hit me in the neck. I am not sure how she hit me at the time. I did not want to have further altercation, so I walked outside to avoid further incidents.” Officers observed bruising near Jose’s neck area, corroborating his statements. A warrant was then obtained for her arrest.
Later that day, MNPD detectives were notified by East Precinct police officers regarding a sexual assault of a juvenile, who stated during an interview that he and Michelle Moya had sexual intercourse approximately five days ago. Officers later discovered that Moya had been in a position of authority over him. Then, the police detained Moya and escorted her to MNPD headquarters. Under Miranda, Moya admitted to having sexual intercourse with the minor on one occasion. Moya was then taken into custody for sexual contact by an authority figure, aggravated statutory rape, and domestic assault.
