Carson Craft spits on man twice during fight outside of Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar

23-year-old Carson Craft was involved in a fight outside Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar at 2:23 a.m. on August 4th. Officers were provided video footage from a witness when they arrived. The footage showed Craft arguing with someone outside Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar. During the video, Craft was seen spitting on the individual twice and then punching him. Officers could not contact the victim, so Craft was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

Ella Sexton becomes aggressive with person fighting her father during brawl at Wild Beaver Saloon

21-year-old Ella Sexton caused a disturbance at Wild Beaver Saloon on Commerce Street late August 3rd. Upon arrival, officers noticed Ella Sexton’s father fighting with an unknown individual. The unknown individual tried to push Ella away as officers broke up the fight. Despite this, Ella kept getting in their face and displaying aggressive behavior. After observing this, officers intervened and stopped Ella before a scuffle could happen. Ella Sexton was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Sameer Nazmi drags wife by her hair during argument over finances

42-year-old Sameer Nazmi had a domestic altercation with his wife, Payman Atam, at their Hickory Hollow Place apartment on the afternoon of August 4th. Sameer told responding officers that he and Payman argued over family issues. He added that during the dispute, they were pushing each other. Then, when the police spoke with Nirwan Atam, Sameer and Payman’s son, he was visibly frightened and expressed urgency for his dad to leave. Then, Nirwan advised officers that Sameer started screaming over a minor issue before dragging Payman by her hair. Payman, who had fled to the exterior part of the residence, disclosed to police officers that she and Sameer argued over financial matters. Then, she reported that Sameer pushed her and pulled her by her hair down the hallway. The police report stated Payman declined counseling and did not want to press charges. However, she was interested in obtaining an order of protection against him. Sameer Nazmi was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault. 

Amalie Wessling assaults ex-boyfriend after he discovers several explicit images of other men on her phone

26-year-old Amalie Wessling had a domestic incident with her ex-boyfriend, Marc A Traylor Jr., at the West End Avenue Holiday Inn on the afternoon of August 4th. When VUPD officers arrived, they spoke with Traylor Jr., who stated that he had looked through Wessling’s phone and found several explicit images of men who were not him. He added that they broke up because of this, after which Wessling hit him several times on the left side of his neck. Traylor Jr. further explained that they attempted to talk about it, but Wessling began to hit him again. A witness, Tremain Townsend, told officers that he saw Wessling attacking Traylor Jr. inside a parked vehicle in the hotel parking lot. Wessling told police, “I swung on him. It was so f*cking impulsive,” several times to the police. Wessling was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

Christopher Farmer smashes business’ glass door, tells police he “had one drink at Margaritaville”

46-year-old Christopher Farmer damaged property at a 1st Avenue North establishment on the afternoon of August 2nd. When officers arrived, they located Farmer sitting in front of the business. Farmer told officers, “I smashed the door. I kicked it in and threw a rock at it,” before stating, “I drank half a bottle of vodka and had one drink at Margaritaville.” Officers noticed Farmer reeked of alcohol while showing signs of intoxication. Farmer told officers, “I wanted to swim across the river to the stadium, but they told me I couldn’t.” Then, the property owner told police he did not want to press charges for the damaged door. However, the property owner did want to prosecute Farmer for trespassing since he refused to leave after being asked. Farmer was deemed a danger to himself and taken into custody for criminal trespass and public intoxication.

Stephanie Augustinsky refuses to leave Morgan Wallen’s This Bar after slapping security guard

49-year-old Stephanie Augustinsky and her husband, Barry Glenn Augustinsky, caused a disturbance at Morgan Wallen’s This Bar on 4th Avenue North in the evening hours of August 2nd. Security alerted the authorities and told them that Stephanie had been throwing drinks inside the establishment. They added that Stephanie was asked to leave due to her level of intoxication but refused. Officers then reviewed footage showing Stephanie and Barry arguing with employees, causing a scene in the business. A security guard told police that Stephanie had slapped him. When they interviewed Stephanie, she admitted to hitting the guard and said that she refused to leave because she had done nothing wrong. She further explained that she had many alcoholic beverages. During their interaction, officers noticed that she reeked of alcohol and showed signs of impairment. Officers deemed Stephanie a danger to herself and detained her for the incident. Stephanie Augustinsky was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Paul Cox III indicted by Grand Jury for multiple counts of tax fraud & evasion

A Davidson County Grand Jury indicted 61-year-old Paul Earthman Cox III for three counts of tax fraud, three counts of tax evasion, and one count of theft on July 24th, 2024. The indictment alleges that Cox III, between January 1st, 2021, and December 31st, 2023, before the finding of his indictment, did knowingly obstruct, hinder, or impede the State of Tennessee from collecting a portion of its lawful sales tax revenue by falsification of any record, report, or return required by law through monthly sales tax returns of PCS Southeast Automotive LLC with the intent to defraud the State of Tennessee. Also, it is alleged that Cox III, between January 1st, 2021, and December 31st, 2023, knowingly attempted in any manner to evade or defeat any tax due the State of Tennessee through sales tax and did obtain or exercise control over $250,000 or more of the Tennessee Department of Revenue’s money without their effective consent, with intent to deprive them. Cox III was taken into custody on July 29th, 2024. A judicial commissioner set Cox III’s bond at $275,000.

DUI: Joseph Albert Benefield scores .150% BAC after causing multi-car accident

63-year-old Joseph Benefield was involved in a several-vehicle car accident on Lake Terrace Drive on August 2nd. After arriving, officers questioned Benefield about his sobriety due to the caller telling them that Benefield was possibly intoxicated. Once Benefield confessed to having a few drinks, he was prompted with sobriety tests. Benefield showed several signs of impairment, so he was taken into custody. After blowing a .150% BAC on a breathalyzer, Benefield was transported to booking and charged with driving under the influence.

Adrian Tenorio runs from police after punching man multiple times in face at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar

20-year-old Adrian Tenorio was observed to be assaulting Dakota Morris at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar on Broadway on August 2nd. When officers arrived, they were flagged down immediately by bar security guards. The security pointed officers in the direction of two individuals who had allegedly assaulted each other while inside the establishment. After reviewing security footage of the incident, officers saw footage of Tenorio punching Morris several times in the face. Officers then spoke with Tenorio, who did not want to provide any information regarding where he lived or provide personal information. Officers then decided to arrest Tenorio for assault, to which he responded by beginning to tense up and physically pull away from officers. Tenorio then attempted to flee the police by running down the street. Officers eventually caught up and apprehended him before placing him in custody for assault, resisting arrest, and evading arrest.

Pablo Muthe enters ex-girlfriend’s home without permission, asks how her day is going

33-year-old Pablo Chavez Muthe entered Maylen Donu Cardon’s, his ex-girlfriend’s, Edmonson Pike apartment without permission on July 9th. Cardon alerted the authorities and advised them that when she got home from work, she discovered Muthe inside her home. When she saw him, Cardon asked him what he was doing there, to which Muthe responded by asking her how her day was going. Cardon added that Muthe left after this interaction.

When officers spoke with Muthe, he said he went by Cardon’s home to check on her and noticed her door was unlocked. He explained that he entered her unit and waited for her to return. Then, Muthe corroborated her statements, telling officers that he only asked her how she was doing and how her day was. After this, Muthe said that he got a text from their son telling him to leave, so he did and went home. A warrant was then obtained for his arrest on July 10th. After failing to appear in court, a criminal summons was issued. Muthe was booked on a summons for aggravated criminal trespass on July 29th.
