Tyler Thornton resists arrest after group of people attempt to force their way into AJ’s Bar

27-year-old Tyler Matthew Thornton was involved in a fight in front of AJ’s Bar on Broadway in the early hours of August 31st. Upon arrival, officers observed Thornton engaging in a scuffle with a crowd of other individuals. Then, the police attempted to detain Thornton. However, he started tensing up and pulling away from officers.

Thornton did this until police took him to the ground and handcuffed him. Officers reviewed footage from the location, showing Thornton with a group of people trying to push their way into the business after being told the bar was closed. Thornton was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Tyler Matthew Thornton of Creekside Way in New Braunfels, TX, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 31st, charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
