25-year-old Aries Bryant was caught trying to scam a man she previously had sexual relations with, Alonzo Furtick, on September 5th. When officers arrived and spoke with Furtick, he informed them that he only had two sexual encounters with Bryant in the past. Furtick stated that the incident began when Bryant had texted him that she was pregnant. Furtick told officers that he offered to give her money for an abortion. However, Bryant felt this wasn’t enough and asked for more money. Bryant then stated that she would sell the unborn child for $50,000 if she didn’t receive it.

The messages law enforcement read were, “And since we complaining about money. I want $1k, I have to go to Chicago for three days, miss school, work and still manage my children. Or I can sit on my ass the rest of the year and sell your baby for $50k, which is what I’d like to do.” Further in the messages, Bryant went on to describe the person she would sell her baby to as “a good person, crazy rich, and can take care of a kid no questions asked.” After that, Bryant said, “50k would change my life??? Are you dumb?” Furtick informed officers that someone had sent him a screenshot of Bryant’s Instagram story showing him lying in bed. The text over the picture said, “Hate this b*tch! I’m thinking about making 40 Google accounts and leaving bad reviews on his restaurant.” Initially, Furtick could only identify Bryant by her first name, Aries, but further investigation revealed her full name and address. After Bryant was identified, officers made contact with her, and then she was taken into custody for extortion on September 9th.

Aries G. Bryant of Dinwiddie Drive in Madison, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on September 9th, charged with extortion. She is free on a $5,000 bond.
