Shianne Milton assaults police officer while resisting arrest at Greyhound Bus Station

On September 9th, 18-year-old Shianne Milton was seen being paranoid at the Greyhound Bus Station on Rep John Lewis Way South when she was asked to leave. When officers spoke with Greyhound staff, they requested Milton leave after she argued with them. Officers then asked Milton to leave the location, which Milton refused. Eventually, officers attempted to remove Milton physically. However, she resisted, so officers attempted to take her into custody.

During this attempt, officers reported that Milton began pulling away from police and tensing up her arms, prompting other officers to come in to contain her. When the additional officers arrived, Milton’s resistance intensified, which climaxed when she kicked officer Amanda Pape, causing her to fall. Milton was eventually placed into custody and transported to General Hospital for medical clearance. While Milton was at the hospital, she admitted that she had recently smoked marijuana. She also admitted that she had been recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Once Milton was cleared, she was taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest, criminal trespassing, and assault on a law enforcement officer on September 10th.

Shianne Nicole Milton was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on September 10th, charged with resisting arrest, criminal trespass, and assault on a law enforcement officer. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $5,000.
