24-year-old Zenaisha Baker was involved in an altercation with her roommate, Amino Amir, at their Erin Lane residence on September 9th. Officers arrived and spoke with everyone involved. They told police that the altercation started because Amir had brought a man over who Baker didn’t want in their apartment. Amir and another person who lived with Baker stated that Baker pulled a knife out on Amir and told her that she was going to kill her.
The other roommate who witnessed the fight stated that Amir and Baker got into a fight as Amir tried to take the knife away from Baker. When officers asked for Baker’s account of events, she admitted that she did pull a knife on Amir before they started fighting. Baker was then taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault on September 10th.
Zenaisha M. Baker was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on September 10th, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $8,000.
