The power company informed her that Barriga had turned their power off the previous day. Domingo claimed she then confronted him regarding the power, which started an argument. Domingo then claimed that Barriga had pushed her out of the house, which caused her to fall on the gravel outside, causing injuries. Domingo showed officers her injuries, which included several scrapes, scratches, and bruises. Due to the statements made and the injuries shown, a warrant was issued that day. Barriga was later taken into custody for domestic assault on September 10th.

Juan Guzman Barriga of Ridge Hill Drive in Joelton, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on September 10th, charged with domestic assault. He is free on a $1,000 bond.
