46-year-old Jason Sawyer was standing in the bed of a pickup truck at the 1st Avenue and Broadway intersection late August 31st. Sawyer was also swinging a large chain, endangering the safety of others. Officers observed this and ordered Sawyer to stop and sit in the truck bed several times before he complied. The driver told the police that Sawyer had been disorderly all night and refused to get out of the truck bed. After this, Sawyer and the driver left toward 1st Avenue, and officers followed them. While following them, the police observed the truck stop in the middle of the road. Officers then noticed Sawyer and the driver started arguing. The driver told officers she was the vehicle owner and wanted him removed immediately. Then, the police told Sawyer to get out of the truck. However, he was argumentative before complying. Once Sawyer was out of the truck, the driver started driving away. Sawyer then quickly jumped back onto the tailgate, dragging his legs. Officers yelled at him to get down and grabbed onto his back. During this, the truck dragged both the police officers and Sawyer for about ten feet. After this, officers pulled Sawyer off of the truck, causing them to fall onto the ground, before placing him under arrest. While detaining Sawyer, he was resistive, and officers noticed he showed signs of impairment. Sawyer was taken into custody for resisting arrest, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.

Reghan Oneill drunkenly insults officers as they attempt to help her on Broadway
21-year-old Reghan Oneill was visibly intoxicated on Broadway late August 31st. Oneill approached officers and told them she did not know where she was. During their interaction, they noticed she reeked of alcohol and showed signs of impairment. Oneill also dropped her cell phone several times and could not properly use it without police assistance. Officers spent about an hour attempting to call her friends to get her. However, according to the police, her friends were unruly and were not much help over the phone. Eventually, the police convinced her friends to take an Uber to their location. However, they took over thirty minutes to get there. Before her friends arrived, Oneill was deemed unable to care for herself as she continuously insulted officers. Oneill was then taken into custody for public intoxication on September 1st.
Jake Pendergrass cries after being confronted for sexually assaulting woman at party
According to MNPD, 20-year-old Jake Pendergrass was involved in the assault of a woman at a party on Amberwood Circle on May 27th. The woman reported that she had slept on the basement floor in the early hours of May 28th. She noted that three other people were already sleeping there. During the investigation, a male witness informed officers that when he had woken up, he saw Pendergrass near the victim’s mattress, so he and another man left. The victim of the incident reported that she had awoken to the feeling of someone she didn’t know touching her groin area over her clothing. The victim stated that once she began to move, Pendergrass left. After waking up a second time, the victim reported that she had felt her blanket being removed and a hand pass under her shorts and touch her genitals. The victim told officers that once she had opened her eyes, Pendergrass turned and ran out of the room. Pendergrass was later confronted by the victim about the incident. Pendergrass told her that he didn’t remember the night before. However, after stating this, Pendergrass started crying. A witness corroborated that they saw Pendergrass leaving the residence, and it looked like he had been crying. Pendergrass was later taken into custody for rape on September 2nd.
Landon Gilster grabs woman’s butt without consent during altercation at AJ’s Bar
22-year-old Landon Glister was involved in a fight with several others in front of AJ’s Bar on Broadway in the early hours of August 31st. Responding officers observed Glister engaging in a scuffle with a crowd of other individuals. Then, the police reviewed surveillance, which showed Glister trying to have a physical altercation with a group of people. Once officers diffused the fight, they spoke with Linda Velasquez, who stated that Glister had grabbed her buttocks inside the bar. Then, officers checked the cameras, which corroborated Velasquez’s statements. However, she said she did not want to press charges. Glister was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
Tyler Thornton resists arrest after group of people attempt to force their way into AJ’s Bar
27-year-old Tyler Matthew Thornton was involved in a fight in front of AJ’s Bar on Broadway in the early hours of August 31st. Upon arrival, officers observed Thornton engaging in a scuffle with a crowd of other individuals. Then, the police attempted to detain Thornton. However, he started tensing up and pulling away from officers. Thornton did this until police took him to the ground and handcuffed him. Officers reviewed footage from the location, showing Thornton with a group of people trying to push their way into the business after being told the bar was closed. Thornton was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Tracey Barclay assaults sister during argument over financial issues
64-year-old Tracey Barclay was involved in a domestic altercation with her sister, Pamela Likens, while at their father’s house on August 1st. When officers spoke with Likens, she stated that she and Barclay went to their father’s house to discuss financial issues, which is not new to them. She mentioned that they began arguing over their past financial problems. Likens said that when she tried to leave, her father walked in front of her and asked her to stay. Likens then claimed to have walked out the front door, and Barclay followed her. Likens alleged that after she got out of the door, Barclay grabbed her by her right bicep, causing an injury that officers later observed. Likens informed officers that she then turned around and grabbed Barclay’s shirt to get out of her grip. She claimed that when she walked to her vehicle, Barclay continued to follow her. A warrant was issued that day for Barclay’s arrest. Barclay was later taken into custody for domestic assault on August 30th.
