DUI: Jacob Humphrey crashes car after drinking 2 High Noon Seltzers before going to McDonald’s

31-year-old Jacob Humphrey was in a single-vehicle car crash on Eatons Creek Road on August 7th. Officers arrived and observed Humphrey’s blue 2015 Chevy Colorado crashed into a guard rail. Humphrey had already been transported to the Skyline Hospital, so officers made contact with him there. Upon questioning, Humphrey stated that he had left his house on Carney Road to go to the McDonald’s on Eaton’s Creek Road. Humphrey told officers that the last thing he remembered was ordering from McDonald’s before he crashed. Humphrey then informed officers that he had two high noon seltzers and a blunt around four hours before the incident. Officers cited him for the violation that day. Humphrey was later booked on the citation of driving under the influence on August 30th.

BUI: Martinez Wilder caught driving boat on Percy Priest Lake after sunset

44-year-old Martinez Wilder was stopped after officers observed him driving a boat at the Percy Priest Lake after sunset on August 31st. When the officers approached Wilder, they reported that it was apparent that he was disoriented. Wilder struggled to comprehend and follow the officer’s instructions. Additionally, it was noted that Wilder had an odor that smelled like an alcoholic beverage. This was corroborated by Wilder’s own admission of having consumed alcohol. Initially, Wilder claimed he hadn’t consumed any alcohol when questioned by the officers. However, he soon changed his statement, first admitting to having one drink and then acknowledging he had consumed two alcoholic beverages. Wilder was then prompted to perform sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. Wilder was then taken into custody and charged with boating under the influence on September 1st.

Amy Eckhold throws margarita can at husband, threatens him with knife during altercation

52-year-old Amy Eckhold had a domestic altercation with her husband, Stephen Eckhold, at their 3rd Avenue South apartment on the afternoon of August 31st. Stephen told dispatch that Amy had pulled a knife on him. When officers arrived at the secondary location, the Hermitage Avenue Shell Station, Stephen had called dispatch back. Stephen told officers he was in Brentwood, Tennessee, and no longer wished to speak with them. Officers attempted to speak with Amy at their 3rd Avenue South apartment, but she did not answer the door. About an hour and a half later, officers received another call for service to Stephen and Amy’s apartment. Stephen had told Elaine Anders about the incident, and she alerted the authorities. She stated that Amy had yelled at Stephen and hit him on the head, causing him to bleed. Anders wanted the police to conduct a welfare check on Amy.

When the police arrived, Stephen opened the door. He told them that he and Amy had a verbal dispute about their living situation and her recent job loss. Stephen further explained that Amy threw a full margarita can at the back of his head before pulling a three-inch serrated steak knife on him. After this, he left the residence and called 911. Officers observed Stephen had visible injuries. Despite this, Stephen refused medical assistance. When the police tried to speak with Amy, she shut and locked the door on them. Before shutting the door, she told them that Stephen pulled a knife on her. Amy Eckhold was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on September 1st. 

DUI: Ruth Gianino tells police she only had “3 beers” before swerving on Gallatin Avenue

36-year-old Ruth Gianino was seen swerving between lanes on Gallatin Avenue on August 31st. Once officers observed this, they conducted a traffic stop. However, Gianino was too slow to pull over on the main road, so it was conducted in the shopping complex behind Gallatin Avenue instead. When officers made contact with Gianino, they reported that she was slow to talk to them. Officers noticed that she fumbled to gather her identification, prompting them to ask her to step out of her car. When Gianino stepped out of her vehicle, officers observed other signs of intoxication. Officers then prompted her to perform sobriety tests. Gianino consented to the tests and showed more signs of impairment, so she was taken into custody. While in custody, Gianino told officers she only had “3 beers” at the bar she was at before driving. Gianino was then transported to booking and charged with driving under the influence.

Ashlee Muse assaults roommate with knife during fight at their Harding Place Apartment

29-year-old Ashlee Muse had a domestic altercation with her roommate, Macio Austin Calma, at their Harding Place apartment on August 31st. A neighbor called 911, stating that her neighbors were fighting, and one of them had a knife in their hand. When officers arrived, they located Calma and Muse, who had a knife in her hand. Officers told Muse to put the knife down. However, she put it in her purse and went inside her room instead, where she was detained. Muse and Calma refused to provide details about the incident. The caller gave officers footage from her ring camera showing Muse and Calma both holding knives. It further revealed that Calma was trying to stop Muse from grabbing the knife from his hand. During this, Muse was yelling and waving her knife around as if she were going to stab him.

Then, when Calma separated himself from the situation, Muse threw his slippers off the second-floor balcony three times. Then, on the third time, Muse and Calma approached each other. Muse continued waving her knife around while trying to retrieve Calma’s knife. When they backed away from each other, Calma turned around, holding his wrist, stating, “You just jacked me for no reason!” Officers noted that Calma had a cut on his wrist with fresh blood, consistent with the footage. Despite this, he told officers it was from a scab he had picked off recently. After officers told Calma they reviewed footage of the occurrence, he told them he was keeping the knife that he had away from her. Muse was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Ronald Green beats husband in head for saying things he didn’t like during argument

44-year-old Ronald Green was involved in a domestic altercation with his husband, Martin Casanova, while at their Athens Way apartment on September 1st. When officers arrived, they spoke with Green, who claimed that an argument about finances led to an altercation inside the home. According to Green, the two of them were in the kitchen. During the argument, Casanova got in his face and began yelling and screaming. Ronald claims that this scared him, so he slapped Casanova in the face so that he would calm down. Due to this, Casanova then threw a broomstick at Green, but it did not hit him.

Officers then went inside and spoke with Casanova and noticed that he was bleeding on his hand from picking up glass. Once inside the bathroom, officers noticed two large cuts on the back of his neck that were close to each other. Casanova informed the officers that he and Green had argued in the kitchen. Casanova said some things Green did not like, so Green beat him on the side of his head. Casanova added that this caused the two cuts on his neck. Both Green and Casanova agreed that Green started the fight. Green was deemed the primary aggressor and taken into custody for domestic assault on September 2nd. 

DUI: Toraun Blackman causes car accident, tells police he wasn’t driving despite admitting he was the driver

25-year-old Toraun Blackman was involved in a car accident at the intersection of 3rd Avenue North and James Robertson Parkway on August 31st. When officers arrived, they spoke with both parties about the crash. Both parties reported that they observed they smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Blackman, as well as other signs of intoxication. This prompted officers to ask Blackman to perform sobriety tests, but Blackman refused and stated that he was not driving. Before saying this, Blackman had already admitted that he was driving the car. Blackman was read implied consent and later transported to booking for driving under the influence.

Bany Melendez strikes boyfriend in face for attempting to make him be quiet

29-year-old Bany Rafael Melendez had a domestic incident with his boyfriend, Alek Berisford Sulatycki, at a downtown Nashville hotel in the early hours of August 31st. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Sulatycki, who said he attempted to return Melendez to their hotel room. However, Melendez was loud and screaming, so Sulatycki placed his hands over Melendez’s mouth. After this, Melendez struck Sulatycki in the face, leaving blood on his nose, face, and left hand. Sulatycki was also holding a bloody towel. Then, when the police approached Melendez, he refused to provide a statement. Melendez was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Tevin Tate steals $674 worth of items from Walmart, tells police “I was caught taking sh*t”

29-year-old Tevin Tate stole from the Nolensville Pike Walmart on August 30th. When officers arrived, they spoke with an employee, Oscar Moreno, who stated that he was alerted by a co-worker that Tate was shoplifting. Moreno said that when he approached Tate and asked him for the receipt for his items, he could not provide him with one. Then, the police asked Tate what had happened, and he said, “I was caught taking sh*t.” Security gave officers a list of the stolen items totaling $674.83. Then, the police discovered Tate had extraditable out-of-county warrants. During a search of Tate’s person, officers located a baggie of marijuana in his pocket. Tate stated, “I didn’t even know that was in there.” Tate was taken into custody for theft and simple possession.

DUI: Karie Armentrout refuses to go to hospital after crashing into guard rail

32-year-old Karie Armentrout was involved in a single-vehicle crash in her black Toyota at the intersection of Donelson Pike and Terminal Drive on September 4th. When officers arrived, they observed that Armentrout was on the ground and had crashed into the right side guard rail. Once officers approached Armentrout, they reported that they immediately smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Armentrout stated that she was in pain and that she was having trouble breathing. She was then promptly escorted away from her smoking vehicle while medics were called to assist with her injuries. While officers spoke with Armentrout, they reported that she was stumbling and refused to be taken to the hospital. Following this, Armentrout confessed that she had consumed a couple of drinks before she started driving, so officers prompted her with sobriety tests. Armentrout consented to sobriety tests but showed signs of impairment. Armentrout was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence on September 5th.
