“Miss Pink” Kyndrea Olawumi punches woman multiple times while fighting her brother

21-year-old Kyndrea Olawumi had an altercation with Imuetiyanna Cantrell at a Cannon Street residence in the early hours of August 30th. Cantrell told responding officers that she was breaking up a fight between Olawumi and Olawumi’s brother. Cantrell further explained that while trying to separate them, Olawumi started punching her multiple times. Cantrell said this left her with a swollen lip and a bruised arm. Then, Cantrell said that she wanted to press charges for the incident. Cantrell provided officers with Olawumi’s identity and her nickname, which was “Pink.” She added that Olawumi was intoxicated and wearing a pink shirt and bonnet. Then, the police performed a “knock-and-talk” at the Cannon Street residence. However, Olawumi was not there. Officers later found a woman matching the description of Olawumi at the Charles E. Davis Boulevard and Cannon Street intersection. Officers called out to “Miss Pink,” causing Olawumi to stop walking. The police then conducted a Terry stop, where Olawumi admitted to consuming alcohol and hitting Cantrell. Olawumi was taken into custody for assault.

Billy Curtis jailed after escaping Davidson County Drug Court in 2021

25-year-old Billy Curtis escaped from the Davidson County Drug Court facility between 10 p.m. on May 7th, 2021, and 3 a.m. on May 8th, 2021. Responding officers searched the nearby area and could not locate him. The Davidson County Drug Court employee told the police that they had last seen Curtis in his private room wearing a black-and-white-striped prisoner suit around 10 p.m. on May 7th. He added that later that night, when he checked on Curtis again, he discovered that Curtis’ window was open. After checking the premises, he confirmed that Curtis escaped the location. The police report said they believed he was returning to McMinn County in Tennessee. A warrant was then issued for Curtis’ arrest that day. Curtis was later taken into custody for escaping and two counts of probation violation on August 29th, 2024. 

Kelly Bajdek attempts to get roommate’s Tennessee State Fair performance cancelled

46-year-old Kelly Bajdek was caught stealing Armand Anderson, her roommate’s mail, at a Hobson Pike residence on August 27th. When officers arrived at the scene, Anderson reported that on July 29th, he received a letter from the Wilson County Fair, which he placed on the table. Anderson claims that he believed Bajdek stole his mail because he was informed and received evidence from his booking agent in Wilson County. Anderson was also unable to find that specific piece of mail. Anderson informed officers that he was given a printout by Wilson County Fair staff of an email sent by Bajdek. The email stated, “I need to make aware to any and all parties that I have lived with Anderson since April 1st, 2024. Anderson is very dangerous and scary. Anderson had many times stolen, assaulted, lied to, and the list goes on and on; in conclusion, I would like to say that any female attending this event should be careful and watched. Have a beautiful, blessed day! Kelly Bajdek”. The email also had an attached photo of Anderson and was time-stamped at 8:03 p.m. on July 29th. Anderson believes this is harassment aimed at affecting his job as a musician, and he wants her taken into custody. He believes she did this purposefully to deter the Wilson County Fair from allowing his performance. Due to the evidence and statements, a warrant was issued that day. Bajdek was later taken into custody for mail theft on August 29th.

Eric Cunningham threatens to shoot up ex-girlfriend, tells police he was “just talking sh*t”

32-year-old Eric Cunningham was involved in a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Alyssa Perry, on Westchester Drive on August 29th. When officers arrived at The Paddock at Grandview Apartments due to reports of a domestic disturbance, they made contact with Cunningham and Perry. Perry agreed to transport Cunningham to a residence on Westchester Drive while officers followed them from behind. While Perry was driving, officers observed her swerve out of her lane and then come to a complete stop in the middle of the road. Perry then jumped out of her car, yelling to arrest Cunningham. Perry, as well as the person she was on the phone with, Kimani Jones, told officers that they heard Cunningham say he was going to shoot her up. Perry also alleged that Cunningham pulled her by her hair, but officers didn’t observe any injuries or evidence of that. When officers spoke with Cunningham, he stated that he was “just talking sh*t” but that nothing physical occurred. Cunningham was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

Aalexis Lindsey fails to steal $333 worth of merchandise from Kroger due to shopping cart malfunction

22-year-old Aalexis Nicole Lindsey attempted to steal from Kroger on August 29th. Steve Worrdall, a Kroger loss prevention agent, filed a police report on Lindsey. The report stated that he observed Lindsey enter the establishment and load up a shopping cart with cleaning supplies before trying to exit the store without offering payment. However, the shopping cart locked up while exiting, preventing her from leaving the store. The total amount of merchandise was valued at $333.98. Lindsey was taken into custody for theft.

Jah Jah caught smoking unknown crystal substance on bench at Public Square Park

24-year-old “Jah Jah” was on a bench with a glass pipe at Public Square Park around 2:30 p.m. on August 29th. Patrolling officers observed the male, who identified himself only as “Jah Jah,” and approached him. During their interaction, officers noticed an unknown crystal substance inside the pipe. The police found a similar substance inside a folded paper in Jah’s possession. Initially, officers were going to cite him for the occurrence. However, due to him being uncooperative and providing false identification, they detained him. DCSO deputies could not find any identification for him because it was possibly his first time being arrested. “Jah Jah” was taken into custody for the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and criminal impersonation.

Kheilan Packer drunkenly threatens officers at Lavou Lounge, says she is going to “Hang the police”

33-year-old Kheilan Packer was publicly intoxicated while at the Lavou Lounge on Antioch Pike on August 30th. When the officers arrived, they observed Packer crying and acting hostile. Packer was yelling and screaming at the officers from inside her vehicle. However, the key fob was not in the car. Officers noticed Packer fumbling with her phone, and when asked to step out of the car, she agreed. However, she began stumbling as she tried to get out. Officers also noticed that Packer smelled strongly of alcohol, was slurring her speech, and made threatening remarks toward officers. At one point, Packer stated that she was going to “Hang the police.” The owner of the Lavou Lounge informed officers that Packer had intentionally damaged his sink in a prohibited area of the establishment. Packer was taken into custody, and while in the back of the police car, she started kicking, screaming, and spitting. Packer was eventually transported and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Ky’Lando Bratcher jailed after stealing alcoholic beverage from Circle K gas station

27-year-old Ky’Lando Rashod Bratcher stole from the 8th Avenue South Circle K Gas Station on the afternoon of August 27th. The store manager, Thavanga Wijethunga, flagged officers down. Wijethunga told police that a man, later identified as Bratcher, entered the store, grabbed an alcoholic beverage from the coolers, and placed it in his pocket before leaving. Wijethunga added that he had left in a Nissan Sentra. Officers identified Bratcher as the person in question after discovering he had previously been involved in a theft from the same store. Officers also learned he was the registered owner of a Nissan Sentra. After officers reviewed the incident surveillance, they confirmed Bratcher’s identity. Then, a warrant was issued for Bratcher’s arrest on August 28th. Bratcher was later taken into custody for theft on August 29th. 

DUI: Paul Wright crashes into multiple barriers on I-24 during overdose

46-year-old Paul Wright had a single-vehicle accident on I-24 West near Mile Marker 48.9 late August 4th. The police report stated that Wright crashed into the barrier on the right side of the interstate. Wright then accelerated across all four lanes before driving into the left barrier and stopping. Responding officers approached the vehicle and found Wright unresponsive with red eyes and dilated pupils in the driver’s seat. After officers gave him two doses of Narcan, he eventually became conscious. While searching Wright’s vehicle, officers found a cooler with Corona beer bottles within arm’s reach of the driver’s seat. Officers also found a small plastic bottle containing a white powdery substance in the center console with a straw near it. Wright was then transported to the hospital for further medical attention, where medics advised officers that he would be admitted for over three hours. Under Miranda, Wright admitted to drinking alcohol while fishing earlier in the day. When Wright was informed of implied consent, he refused to provide a chemical sample. Wright was cited for the occurrence that day. Wright was later booked on the citation for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation on August 27th.

Matthew Lapensee pushes over cash register, breaks multiple bottles of alcohol at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk

34-year-old Matthew Lapensee was seen publicly intoxicated and acting disorderly while at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk on Broadway on August 30th. When offices arrived on the scene, they were flagged down by Kid Rock’s employees. They explained that Lapensee pushed over the cashier register and broke about eight bottles of alcohol. Officers then spoke with Lapensee, who had dilated pupils, was profusely sweating, and had very erratic behavior. While speaking with officers, Lapensee admitted to consuming five alcoholic beverages. Lapensee was then deemed to be a danger to himself, and he was taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
