Melvin Gabbarete slaps girlfriend during confrontation, tells police she is always “disrespecting him”

34-year-old Melvin Gabbarete had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Traneal Janel Bailey, at their Maudina Avenue apartment on August 18th. Bailey told responding officers that she witnessed Gabbarete bringing a female co-worker to their residence. She further explained that she confronted him about it when they entered the unit, which led to a verbal dispute. Bailey said that Gabbarete got frustrated with their conversation and slapped her across the face, leaving her right cheek swollen. When officers spoke with Gabbarete, he admitted to smacking Bailey. Gabbarete stated he only slapped her because she got in his face and is always “disrespecting him” on a daily basis. Gabbarete was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Shannon Dunn pulls pants down & starts droppin’ it like it’s hot during police chase at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar

53-year-old Shannon Marcel Dunn caused a disturbance at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar in the early hours of August 20th. When officers arrived, they spoke with security, who stated that Dunn was in the women’s restroom and refused to leave the business. They further explained that Dunn started running around when they asked him to leave. Security added that while chasing him around, he pulled his pants down and defecated mid-chase before running into a bathroom stall, where he locked himself in. The police located Dunn and detained him for the occurrence. Officers confirmed that the establishment had an active trespass waiver. Dunn was then taken into custody for criminal trespass.

Deontay Wilson caught driving with stolen tags at Nashville International Airport

26-year-old Deontay Wilson, a Barstool Sports Nashville security guard, was observed in a black Chevy Impala with stolen tags at Nashville International Airport on July 22nd. After noticing this, officers approached and spoke with Wilson, who said he found the license plate while working security. Wilson was then cited for the occurrence that day. Wilson was later booked on the citation of theft on August 13th.

Jaime Llamas Jr. assaults & aggressively rapes girlfriend at gunpoint during argument

28-year-old Jaime Llamas Jr. had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend at her apartment on August 19th. His girlfriend told responding officers that Llamas Jr. came over and argued about their relationship. She stated that during the dispute, Llamas Jr. grabbed a Sig Sauer P365 handgun and started threatening her. Then, she said he forced the gun into her mouth, pressed it against her head, and pointed it at her body. She stated that this made her fearful and felt she could not leave. Llamas Jr. reportedly said that he could kill her and that he knew people who would “hide her body.” Llamas Jr. then began striking and kicking her, leaving bruises that MNPD Special Victims Detectives later observed. She said that Llamas Jr. told her to go upstairs to her office, where he made her remove her clothes. Llamas Jr. then forced her to perform sexual acts on him while the handgun was in his reach. She stated that she told Llamas Jr., “No,” and, “I do not want to do this,” while she cried. After this, she said that Llamas Jr. forced her to perform more intense sexual acts on him before throwing her onto the ground, where he continued to assault her. Then, she added that Llamas Jr. sexually assaulted her with a sex toy even after she told him she did not want him to. Detectives noticed she had visible injuries to her head, arms, torso, and buttocks. Then, police interviewed Llamas Jr. at MNPD Headquarters, where he initially stated that he only verbally argued with her. Then, Llamas Jr. later said they had a struggle over his phone. However, when detectives questioned him about her injuries, he motioned as if he had thrown her. Llamas Jr. was then taken into custody for aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape.

Daniel Tackett attempts to throw woman out of window at Drury Plaza Hotel during argument

44-year-old Daniel Tackett had a domestic incident with Florah Tackett at the Drury Plaza Hotel on Korean Veterans Boulevard on August 19th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Florah, who stated that she and Daniel had been drinking downtown on Broadway. She further explained that their group wanted to get food, but due to medical issues, she could not walk long distances. Then, Florah said that Daniel had gotten verbally aggressive with her, so they started walking back to the hotel. Florah added that the argument continued into the hotel lobby. Florah stated a physical altercation ensued when they entered their room on the 16th floor. She went into detail, explaining that Daniel grabbed her forearms and threw her against the glass window multiple times. This caused her to believe he was trying to throw her out of the window. Florah added that Daniel punched her in the mouth, which was when she started slapping and shoving him in self-defense. She had bruises on her forearm and a cut to her lower lip. When officers spoke with Daniel, he told them he and Florah were pushing and shoving each other because she was annoying him. Daniel Tackett was taken into custody for domestic assault. 

Demontea Mayberry caught with MDMA & marijuana during traffic stop

20-year-old Demontea Mayberry was caught with marijuana and vapes while under age on July 21st. Officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on I-65 North and exiting on Old Hickory Boulevard. Officers then initiated a traffic stop on the car. When officers contacted Mayberry, he stated he was 20 years old as he smoked a vape. Officers observed other nicotine products in the vehicle and proceeded to conduct a search of the car. During the search, officers found a purple bag that contained marijuana as well as blue pills that were consistent with MDMA. Officers confiscated the narcotics and spoke with Mayberry. He admitted to police that he knew the marijuana was inside the vehicle. Mayberry also stated that he would take responsibility for the other bag inside the car. Mayberry was then issued a citation for the incident that day. Mayberry was later booked on the citation for nicotine possession under 21 and charged with two counts of drug possession on August 14th.

Genasia Eddings booked for assaulting woman’s daughter after car crash

22-year-old Genasia Eddings, a GardaWorld Security employee, was involved in a car crash on Mount View Road and Bell Forge Lane on July 23rd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Eddings, who stated that the other driver, Joyce Janowsky, approached her and started an argument following the crash. Then, Eddings added that this was after she pushed Janowsky’s daughter, Jill Werdesheim, to the ground. Eddings stated that she argued with Janowsky but didn’t approach her. Janowsky told officers that Werdesheim exited the car after the collision and started speaking with Eddings. Then, Janowsky stated she watched Eddings shove Werdesheim to the ground. Janowsky added that Eddings approached her aggressively and started threatening her. Eddings was then cited for the incident that day. Eddings was later booked on a citation of assault on August 13th.

Cory Jones punches ex-girlfriend in face for breaking up with him

35-year-old Cory Jones was involved in a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Leteia Claybrooks, while at her Heiman Street residence on August 13th. Claybrooks reported that on that day, she stepped outside due to noise in the home and wanted to make a phone call. Jones came outside, got upset, and confronted Claybrooks, thinking she was up to something. Claybrooks showed him that she was talking to her grandmother, leading Jones to back off and go to his car. After the phone call, Claybrooks told Jones that she no longer wanted to be in a relationship with him, which upset him. Allegedly, Jones then approached Claybrooks and punched her in the side of her face. Claybrooks claims she lost her balance and fell but maintains that while she was on the ground, Jones stepped on her to get into the car and then drove away from the scene. Claybrooks informed officers that she never lost consciousness but had pain and was seeking a warrant. A warrant was issued, and Jones was later taken into custody for domestic assault on August 17th.

Mahmoud Hammad assaults brother during altercation at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar

37-year-old Mahmoud Hammad was involved in a domestic altercation with his brother, Tareq Hammad, at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar on Broadway on August 18th. There was a fight inside the bar, and when officers arrived, they spoke with Mahmoud. While speaking with Mahmoud, he put his hands on his brother Tareq and pushed him, almost knocking him down. Based on the physical assault, Mahmoud was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

Scott Branch threatens to kill employee with knife while shirtless at Main 5 Gas Station

45-year-old Scott Branch was seen threatening Raymin Dis, a gas station cashier, with a weapon at a Main 5 Gas Station on Main Street on August 18th. Officers were dispatched to the gas station for a report of a person with a weapon threatening people inside. The caller informed officers that there was a man wearing brown pants with no shirt on who threatened the cashier with a knife before leaving the store. While officers were on their way to the scene, they found Branch walking on the shoulder of Ellington Parkway South dangerously close to traffic. Officers then observed Branch cross over the median and two lanes of traffic before walking onto the right shoulder of Ellington Parkway North. After this, officers made contact with Branch, who appeared intoxicated and was stumbling. Branch refused to comply with officers’ commands, so he was taken into custody and found to have a large fixed-blade knife in his front pants pocket. Officers then returned to the gas station and reviewed the camera footage. The footage showed Branch stumbling through the parking lot, dropping the large knife on the ground, and entering the store. While inside the store, Branch was pacing erratically, yelling at other customers and waving his arms aggressively. Officers then spoke with Dis, who stated he told Branch he needed to leave. Dis informed officers that Branch refused to leave, told Dis that he had a knife, and began yelling at him. Branch was then seen in the video pulling a large knife out and pointing it toward Dis. Dis told officers that Branch stated that he would kill him before leaving the store. Branch was then deemed the primary aggressor, and he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and publicly intoxicated.
