Christina Gill smears food on ground while stumbling around Nashville International Airport Garage

28-year-old Christina Gill was observed stumbling, looking for her car in Terminal Garage 1 of Nashville International Airport on August 17th. After noticing this, the janitorial staff flagged officers down and advised them of the situation. Officers conducted a welfare check and located Gill, during which they determined that she appeared to be under the influence of some sort of drug. When they arrived, Gill was slumped over her luggage, digging through her bag. Officers asked Gill what she was doing, to which she responded, “I’m looking for my car so I can go home.” During their interaction, Gill displayed slurred speech. However, she told police that she was fine and had no injuries, medical conditions, or any other reason for her behavior. Gill then consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. While Gill attempted to gather her belongings, she spilled her food on the floor. Instead of picking up her food, Gill smeared it on the ground and nearly fell over. Gill was then deemed a danger to herself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Vincent Polizzi urinates himself after drinking for hours at Legends Corner on Broadway

34-year-old Vincent Michael Polizzi was observed showing signs of intoxication, holding onto the wall behind Legends Corner in the afternoon hours of August 16th. After noticing this, officers approached Polizzi, who reeked of alcohol, and discovered that he had urinated himself. Then, Polizzi told them that he had a lot to drink and had been drinking for several hours. Polizzi was deemed unable to care for himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Heather Turner deemed too drunk for Nashville International Airport

35-year-old Heather Dianne Turner was observed crying and sitting in a pedestrian walkway at the ticketing level of Nashville International Airport around 4:30 a.m. on August 16th. Officers were called for a welfare check on a female, later identified as Turner, who was described as emotionally distraught. When they arrived, they located Turner, who told them she was flying out of Southwest Airlines at 5:30 a.m. Then, Turner tried standing up but was unsteady on her feet. Officers then informed her that she was about to miss her flight. Turner attempted to gather her bags, during which she nearly fell over several times. Eventually, Turner fell and needed the officers’ assistance to get back up. The police explained to Turner that the airline would not let her fly in her current condition and that she could get a hotel room to sleep it off. Turner told them she was unsure if she had money for a room. During their interaction, officers noticed she reeked of alcohol and was visibly impaired, so they asked her if she had been drinking. After initially denying alcohol consumption, Turner admitted to drinking and stated she did not know anyone locally who could come get her. Turner was deemed a danger to herself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

DUI: Misty Manson scores 0.195% BAC after crashing into concrete barrier on I-24 West

46-year-old Misty Manson had a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 440 East near Mile Marker 7.4 in the early hours of August 17th. Responding officers could not locate the vehicle and then were informed via dispatch that Manson said she drove away and pulled into a Murfreesboro Pike shopping outlet parking lot. When the police arrived, they spoke with Manson, who reeked of alcohol and showed signs of impairment. Manson told officers that she had left a downtown Nashville bar and was approaching the I-24 West entrance ramp when she had gone off the roadway and struck a concrete barrier. Manson consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After being read implied consent, she agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.195% BAC. Under Miranda, Manson admitted to consuming alcohol before driving. Manson was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Jordan Vicars punches security guard in face at Fox & Hound Bar for telling him to “Be careful”

23-year-old Jordan Vicars had an altercation with Adam Bailey, a security guard, at Fox & Hound Bar & Grill on Rivergate Parkway in the early hours of August 18th.  When officers arrived, they observed Bailey aiming his taser at Vicars. Officers had previously contacted Bailey and knew he was working security at the location. When officers arrived, Bailey advised them that Vicars had punched him multiple times in the face.  After this, officers detained Vicars and investigated the alleged assault. They noticed Vicars was visibly intoxicated as he told them he wanted a lawyer and refused to make any statements. Then, officers spoke with Bailey, who said he was leaving when he saw Vicars acting belligerently in the parking lot. Bailey added that he tried de-escalating the situation by telling him, “Be careful.” Then, Bailey reiterated that Vicars struck him several times and pulled his shirt over his head. The assault left contusions to Bailey’s face and nose that were consistent with his statements. After being deemed a danger to himself and others, Vicars was taken into custody for public intoxication and assault.

Kendel Rome, Daughter of former Fisk University President, attacks her father during altercation

19-year-old Kendel Rome had a domestic altercation with her father & former President of Fisk University, Kevin D. Rome, at their Division Street residence on the afternoon of August 16th. Kevin told responding officers that he and Kendel had a scuffle over her gathering her belongings to leave. Kevin stated that Kendel had started destroying items and being aggressive toward him. Kevin explained that he tried holding onto her to prevent her from breaking anything else. Kevin said she scratched his arms while holding her, leaving visible marks. Officers noticed several broken items on the ground when they entered the residence. Officers also observed that Kendel had fake fingernails missing from her fingers, which was consistent with Kevin’s statements and his injuries. Kendel Rome was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Daquan Hill smashes man’s car window after he allegedly stole his backpack

33-year-old Daquan Hill was seen smashing someone’s car window at his apartment complex on Murfreesboro Pike on August 16th. When officers arrived, the victim informed them about the incident. Officers then made contact with Hill, who immediately admitted to breaking the window. Once officers informed him of his Miranda Rights, he reiterated that he busted the window with his hands out of anger. Hill stated he did this in relation to another incident where Hill contacted officers saying that the victim stole his backpack. After that, Hill decided to “Take care of the issue himself,” leading to him breaking the window. During officers’ interaction with Hill, he also confessed that he was under the influence of marijuana and alcohol. Hill was then taken into custody and charged with vandalism.

Letitia Thomas steals $500 worth of merchandise at Target

41-year-old Letitia Thomas was seen shoplifting at the Target on Charlotte Pike on July 26th. After being detained by the store’s security, arriving officers read Thomas her Miranda Rights. Once Thomas was Mirandized, she confessed that she attempted to leave the store without paying for anything. The value of the merchandise Thomas had in her possession was $500. Officers cited her for the violation that day. Thomas was later booked on the citation of theft of merchandise on August 12th.

Tamondria McBride steals man’s phone after assaulting woman

32-year-old Tamondria McBride was involved in an altercation with Laquinta Smith on June 9th. Reports of the incident indicate that McBride assaulted Smith, resulting in abrasions to her left eye and knees. Following the assault on Smith, McBride grabbed another member of the incident’s phone, Jeremiah Brantley, off the ground where he had dropped it prior to the altercation and left. McBride was later found and taken into custody for theft of property and assault on August 16th.

Samuel Harrison harasses man over shared dog via numerous text messages

24-year-old Samuel David Harrison argued with Ian Mizelle about their shared dog via text on August 1st. On August 5th, Mizelle went to the police and reported that he wanted to prosecute a report he had filed on August 3rd regarding the incident. Mizelle stated that he told Harrison that after he sent the money he owed him for their shared dog, he wanted out and expressed that he was “done for good.” Mizelle further explained that Harrison then called and texted him 14 times between August 1st and August 3rd. A warrant was then obtained for Harrison’s arrest that day. Harrison was later taken into custody for harassment on August 15th.
