Patrick Dibiase exposes himself while urinating in street on Broadway, tells police a taxi driver said he could

29-year-old Patrick Eugene Dibiase was observed urinating in public near Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar in the early hours of August 10th. Officers noticed Dibiase unzipping his zipper and exposing his p*nis to urinate in the road in front of 150-200 pedestrians. Officers noted that Dibiase was obstructing traffic and being a hazard to the roadway. Officers approached Dibiase and detained him. They noticed he had difficulty standing up as he told them that a taxi driver said he could urinate there while they waited for him. Then, Dibiase admitted to being intoxicated and drinking alcohol earlier in the day. Dibiase was taken into custody for indecent exposure and public intoxication.

Derik Chandler assaults loss prevention officer while stealing $200 worth of merchandise at Walmart

24-year-old Derik Chandler was caught after assaulting Philip McCoy Jr while at a Walmart on Charlotte Pike on June 19th. On that day, McCoy, a Walmart loss prevention officer, reported to the police that he had seen Chandler and another man behaving erratically on camera. McCoy mentioned that he approached the two individuals and was on the phone with Walmart security to inform them of the situation. McCoy then noticed one of the men holding a laundry basket filled with health and beauty products worth $200. While McCoy was still on the phone, one of the individuals approached McCoy and hit him on the head, causing injuries. Chandler and the other individual then fled through an emergency door without returning the stolen items. On August 11th, McCoy called the police again after noticing the same individuals inside Walmart. The officers arrived and detained Chandler, then watched video footage from McCoy that showed the June 19th assault. Officers determined the footage showed Chandler as the one who assaulted McCoy. Chandler was then taken into custody for assault and theft on August 12th.

Clinton Turner unable to walk after drinking at Ole Red in Nashville International Airport for over 4 hours

34-year-old Clinton Dwayne Turner caused a disturbance at Ole Red inside Nashville International Airport on the afternoon of August 11th. When officers arrived, they were informed Turner had been at the location for over 4 hours. Officers then located Turner attempting to leave, but he could not walk independently. Officers tried helping Turner into a chair, during which he almost fell multiple times. They noticed Turner reeked of alcohol and repeated the same story during their interaction. Then, officers tried assisting Turner to his gate for rebooking. However, Turner could not walk without assistance, so officers deemed him unable to care for himself. Turner was then taken into custody for public intoxication.

Matthew Delaney yells at father, gets aggressive with police outside Nudie’s Honky Tonk

23-year-old Matthew Delaney was observed arguing with his father near Nudie’s Honky Tonk late August 10th. A concerned citizen noticed this and flagged officers down on 4th Avenue and Broadway. When officers approached the location, they noticed two men, later identified as Delaney and his father, yelling at each other. Then, officers spoke with Delaney’s father, who stated that everything was fine and that he was speaking with his son. The police advised them that it was not the time or place for that and to leave. At this point, Delaney stepped up and appeared confrontational as he told the officer, “Take your f*cking hand out of your pocket!” Then, officers told him to step back and to be on his way.

After this, Sergeant Alexander spoke with Delaney and entered Nudie’s to verify something. Delaney approached officers and told them about the excessive use of force. Officers then told him they had nothing to do with what happened at the bar. Delaney replied, “You had f*cking everything to do with it!” while getting closer to the officers. Officers noted Delaney was so close that his saliva landed on the officer as he spoke. After this, the officer placed his right hand on Delaney’s chest and tried to push him back, advising him not to get too close. Delaney responded by slapping the officer’s hand and telling him, “Do not f*cking touch me!” During their interaction, officers noticed Delaney reeked of alcohol and showed signs of impairment, so they went to detain him. However, Delaney swiped the officer’s hands, forcing them to use an over-the-hip takedown to arrest him. Delaney was then taken into custody for public intoxication.

Mike Palarz drunkenly resists arrest after refusing to go to his room at Hyatt House hotel

34-year-old Mike Palarz was visibly intoxicated near Demonbreun Street and 6th Avenue South late August 9th. Officers encountered Palarz and noticed he reeked of alcohol while showing signs of impairment. Officers then tried helping him get a hotel room at Hyatt House. After helping Palarz get his room and key, he refused to go to his room. Palarz then sat down in the public dining area on the first floor. Palarz started walking away from officers, so they deemed him a danger to himself. When officers went to detain Palarz, he refused to stop walking. Palarz pushed officers’ hands away until they placed him on the ground and detained him for the occurrence. Palarz was taken into custody for resisting arrest and public intoxication.

Mar’Quon Givens jailed after “squaring up” to people while attempting to start fights on Broadway

22-year-old Mar’Quon Lamar Givens was observed shoving an unknown individual at Barstool Nashville on August 11th. After officers noticed this, Givens and the other party ran in separate directions. The police checked the premises but could not find anybody involved. Officers then saw Givens run toward Broadway near Whiskey River before walking towards Bootleggers Inn. While there, Givens had a verbal altercation with another unknown party. Then, officers watched Givens and his party head to Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk. After this, officers spoke with a vendor near Barstool Nashville, who observed a black male with short dreads and a black shirt with what appeared to be a flame. At this time, the police were alerted about a fight happening at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk. When officers arrived, they located Givens and his friends but did not see them fighting.

Officers spoke with Givens, who said nothing was happening and everything was fine. Officers then noticed Givens had an injury to his finger. Givens further explained that he was in a “shoving match” with another unknown party, which caused the injury to his finger. He told officers he did not want to press charges and that he was looking for his friends so they could leave. Givens and his party then walked towards Moxy Hotel. A little while later, officers were alerted of another fight at the Moxy Hotel. When officers arrived, they saw Givens and his party engaging in fighting behavior, “squaring up” with other individuals. After Givens tried walking away again, he was detained for the occurrence. Givens was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Michael Rummeley flees police after repeatedly starting fights in Downtown Nashville

21-year-old Michael Anthony Rummeley and his associates caused a disturbance near Barstool Nashville on August 11th. Multiple individuals noticed this and flagged officers down. When the police arrived, Rummeley and his friends had left already. Then, witnesses advised officers that Rummeley and his group were being aggressive, trying to start fights with them. Shortly after this, the police were flagged down by other officers on 3rd Avenue South regarding Rummeley and his friends engaging in fighting behavior. When officers approached the group, they started to walk away from them again. Officers eventually made contact with the group and placed two of them in custody for disorderly conduct. When Rummeley was notified that he was under arrest, he pulled away from the police. Rummeley then started running towards Demonbreun Street, leading officers in a foot pursuit. Officers eventually caught up to Rummeley near 2nd Avenue South and Molloy Street, where they detained him. Rummeley was then taken into custody for resisting arrest, evading arrest, and disorderly conduct.

DUI: Brandy Snowden crashes car on Church Street after drinking Voodoo Ranger IPA

43-year-old Brandy Snowden was caught driving under the influence after a vehicle wreck at the intersection of church street and 1st Avenue North on August 8th. A report came in about a car accident, and the caller mentioned that Snowden seemed drunk. When the officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with Snowden. Officers immediately noticed the smell of alcohol on her breath. Officers also observed her slurred speech, dilated pupils, and unsteadiness on her feet. Upon request, Snowden agreed to perform sobriety tests but performed poorly on them. As a result, Snowden was detained, and officers searched her vehicle. During the search, officers found a loaded handgun in her purse within reach, as well as a cup in her cupholder that smelled of alcohol. Additionally, officers found a half-full Voodoo Ranger IPA in her vehicle’s backseat. Snowden chose not to communicate with the officers and refused a blood test. Snowden was taken into custody for carrying a weapon while under the influence, driving under the influence, implied consent violation, and possession of an open container of alcohol on August 9th.

Herbert Bates indicted by Grand Jury for attempting to defraud man of $250,000

A Davidson County Grand Jury has indicted 41-year-old Herbert Bates for forgery, retaliation for past action, and unlawful lien on November 8th, 2023. The indictment alleges that Bates attempted to defraud Judge Hugh Harvey Jr. of $250,000 or more and threatened to harm him for a past decision on or about September 12th, 2023. Bates was taken into custody on August 8th, 2024. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $225,000.

David Carter threatens to bomb U.S. Bank after they called him about his account

73-year-old David Carter threatened a U.S. Bank representative over the phone on November 16th, 2023. The police report stated that the representative called Carter and confirmed his identity. Then, after Carter realized they were calling on behalf of the bank, he told them to stop calling or “I will try bombing that stupid bank.” The conversation was recorded and reviewed. Officers determined that Carter’s statement placed the workers at the location in fear of contacting him regarding his account. A warrant was issued for his arrest on December 28th, 2023. Carter was later taken into custody for false reports on August 8th, 2024.
