Marshall Johnson steals $150,000 Lift from construction site on Gallatin Pike North

42-year-old Marshall Wayne Johnson was caught on camera burglarizing a construction site at a Gallatin Pike North shopping center on August 7th. The surveillance showed Johnson leaving with a $150,000 bright orange JLG BK Telehandler lift with a 42’ reach. MidSouth Rentals advised officers that they wished to press charges for the occurrence. MidSouth Rentals later recovered the property. Johnson was taken into custody for felony theft and burglary on August 8th.

Quentoria Turner-Randle damages grandma’s car, assaults 4-year-old cousin during confrontation over marijuana

19-year-old Quentoria Turner-Randle was caught after vandalizing her grandmother, Marshalendle Randle’s property, while at an Andrew Jackson Parkway residence on July 31st. On that day, when officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with Marshalendle, who stated that Quentoria had vandalized her vehicle and assaulted her 4-year-old cousin. Marshalendle informed officers that Quentoria came home at 8 in the morning and went straight to her room. Marshalendle stated while she was in the kitchen, she smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the hallway. Marshalendle claims that she went to Quentoria’s room and asked her to put the marijuana outside. However, Quentoria became angry, leading to an argument between her and Marshalendle.

Quentoria left the room and went to the hallway where her little cousin was. Quentoria then pushed the 4-year-old into a wall using her right arm and said, “Get out of the way.” Marshalendle then told officers that Quentoria continued to walk through the house. She stated Quentoria began knocking things off the shelves and breaking candles and dinner plates. Marshalendle then watched Quentoria grab a sharp object from the ground outside and vandalize her vehicle, causing scratches and marks that officers observed. Officers then spoke with Eric Turner, Marshalendle’s brother, who informed them that he had seen Quentoria vandalize Marshalendle’s vehicle. Quentoria was not on the scene, and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Quentoria was later found and taken into custody for domestic assault and vandalism on August 8th.

Brandy Braly throws large rock at car while causing scene at Dunkin Donuts

34-year-old Brandy Braly was observed trespassing and being disorderly at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Rosa L Parks Boulevard on August 8th. When police arrived, they engaged with Braly to offer assistance. Despite this, Braly continued to have strangers call 911 for various reasons. It was discovered that the day before, Braly had been asked to leave Nashville’s rescue mission. Braly was then sent to a mental health cooperative, where she refused to participate in the program. Despite being offered assistance by officers, Braly refused all help and was asked to leave the Dunkin’ Donuts by the staff. As officers were leaving, they saw Braly return to the Dunkin’ Donuts. Braly then picked up a large rock and threw it at an occupied vehicle in the parking lot, causing damage. The vehicle owner did not wish to prosecute. Braly was taken into custody for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

Autumn Thornton punches man’s car, attempts to choke him during altercation

18-year-old Autumn Thornton had a domestic incident with her intimate partner, Lucas Wooten, at her Meadow Hill Drive residence in the early hours of August 8th. Later that day, Wooten called 911 to the Clarksville Pike Exxon and told them that he and Thornton had an argument that escalated when she hit him while having a vape in her hand. He further explained that he grabbed her vape and left her residence. Then, Wooten stated that he returned to her residence to give her vape back, adding that he threw it out of his vehicle when he arrived. Then, Wooten said that Thornton punched his car on the rear passenger side. After this, officers went to Thornton’s home and spoke with her. Thornton stated that Wooten was being disrespectful, so she attempted to strangle him. She then told officers that Wooten left with her vape, and after she told him to bring it back, he pulled up and threw it out of his car. Then, Thornton admitted to hitting his vehicle but denied causing any damage. Officers observed visible injuries on Wooten’s neck and noticed damage to his car. Thornton was then taken into custody for vandalism and domestic assault.

Joseph Morgan caught with meth & cocaine while driving on suspended license at Shell Gas Station

42-year-old Joseph Morgan was caught with meth and cocaine while at a Shell Gas Station on Long Hollow Pike on August 8th. When the officers arrived, they spoke with Morgan, who informed them that he had driven to the gas station. Morgan stated he was driving Courtney Cirelli to her parent’s home in Memphis. Officers then spoke with Cirelli, who suggested they search the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, the officers found a loaded syringe containing 36ccs of a clear substance, which Morgan admitted to being methamphetamine. They also found a cut straw with white powder residue that later tested positive for cocaine. Upon checking Morgan’s information, the officers discovered that he was a registered sex offender.

Further investigation revealed that Morgan had been charged with failure to report as a sex offender in multiple counties in Florida and Kentucky. Morgan had also failed to report as a sex offender upon entering Tennessee. In addition, Morgan’s Kentucky driver’s license was found to be suspended. Morgan was then taken into custody for possession of meth, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license.

Makayla Usher hits TSU security officer with her car while fleeing police

23-year-old Makayla Usher struck a security officer, Emad Kamil, with her brown Nissan Altima at the Tennessee State University Campus late August 6th. The police report stated that Usher attempted to enter the campus through the Alameda Street and 33rd Avenue North intersection but was denied entry because she needed to provide proper identification. Then, Usher continued to enter the premises and parked her vehicle in the Eppse parking lot. While officers were investigating, Kamil gave them a description of Usher’s vehicle. At this point, they noticed Usher driving towards them, so Kamil stepped out and signaled her to stop. However, Usher disregarded his commands and hit him with her vehicle. Then, officers tried conducting a traffic stop on Usher. Despite this, she refused to stop and proceeded to speed off on Alameda Street and Albion Street, out of their view. The police later discovered that Usher’s license had been suspended. A warrant was obtained for her arrest on August 7th. Usher was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless driving, evading arrest by motor vehicle, and driving with a suspended license on August 8th.

Jacoby Lovett causes scene at Opry Mills Mall after not being able to provide ID

26-year-old Jacoby Lovett was seen criminally trespassing after refusing to leave the Opry Mills Mall on Opry Mills Road on September 10th, 2022. On that day, Lovett entered the mall and was asked by security to show identification because no one under 18 was allowed inside the mall past a certain time. Lovett could not show ID, so the officers asked him to leave, which he did. As Lovett was leaving, he began causing a scene. A few moments later, Lovett reappeared and attempted to walk past security without showing his ID. He was stopped, became loud and disorderly, and asked security officers to step outside to “handle it.” The officers complied, and Lovett began yelling at them. One of the officers placed his hand on his weapon but did not draw it. Lovett then told the officer, “I got one of those too.” Prompting the officer to call for backup, which promptly arrived and detained Lovett. Lovett was then issued a citation for criminal trespassing due to the incident. Lovett did not appear in court and was later booked on the citation for criminal trespass on August 8th, 2024.

Eswar Rao Akula jailed after police discover google account with over 200 files of child sexual abuse material

25-year-old Eswar Rao Akula was identified as the owner of a Google account with several files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on June 5th. Officers received four cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), stating that the same Google account with the name “Eswar Rao” connected to Akula’s phone number had over 100 files of CSAM. Then, Google provided a Comcast Cable IP address to log into or upload the CSAM files to his account. Officers later confirmed the IP address was assigned to Akula’s Church Street Apartment address after locating his driver’s license. A search warrant was sent to Google for the full content of the account. Then, officers found over 200 CSAM files showing prepubescent girls engaged in sexual activity. One video showed what appeared to be a toddler-aged female, who was still wearing a diaper, performing fellatio on an adult. Akula was then taken into custody for the sexual exploitation of a minor on August 8th.

Mia Abrams threatens neighbor with metal pole during altercation

32-year-old Mia Abrams caused a disturbance at Betty Schoenberg’s Highlander Court residence on July 1st. Schoenberg reported that she was working in her garden when Abrams came outside and started threatening her. Schoenberg further explained that Abrams brandished a metal pole toward her, which frightened her. A warrant was then issued for Abrams’s arrest. Then, Abrams was booked on a summons and charged with disorderly conduct on August 6th.

Russell Vacherlon caught making 4-year-old girl “suck his crotch” after confessing to pastor

65-year-old Russell Vacherlon, customer service center manager of the Grand Ole Opry, was caught sexually exploiting a 4-year-old child on August 8th. On July 3rd, Vacherlon contacted a pastor and confessed that he had molested a juvenile. Vacherlon told the pastor that he was rubbing the child and that he took it inappropriately. When the pastor advised that Vacherlon needed to report this to law enforcement, Vacherlon became upset and ended the call because he believed their talk would be confidential. On July 8th, detectives received additional information from the victim’s father. The victim’s father informed officers that he walked in on Vacherlon, scrambling to get up and put his pants on.

The victim’s father also saw his daughter with her pants and underwear to her knees. After taking his daughter to a safe place, he spoke with her about the incident. The victim told her father this was not the first time that this occurred. On July 16th, during a forensic interview, the victim told officers that Vacherlon had been making her “suck his crotch” and that he had been “licking her butt.” The victim stated that this had happened twice. The victim disclosed that she called Vacherlon “Happy” and that “Happy” had made her “suck his crotch” before her father walked in. The incident occurred twice at Vacherlon’s house. Vacherlon was later taken into custody and charged with two counts of aggravated rape of a child on August 8th. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $200,000.
